Ngl y’all turning me off with the witch hunt that happens every time someone dares to criticize Alfonso or Ari like…
Since not many people will ask about details in the novel, they just want to come and write about their feelings about the characters. There are many stuff that spoilers lack, but no one asks so it's just there.
Usually for 2 chapters not much will happen, that's why I usually wait for 10 chapters to summarize. For 462 - 464, it's like this Spoiler: Chapter 462 - 464 Ari was going to tell Alfonso that she ruined his life but she didn't. He kept consoling her to make her feel better. She thought her period was late, but she didn't think that she was pregnant (of course she is). Princess is having a crush on Cesare now, thinking both his bruise on his face (caused by Alfonso) and her face (from the broken wine glass) formed a heart shape. Leo III was going to punish Alfonso for punching Cesare, but Alfonso told him Cesare wanted to have an affair with his wife, so he punched him instead of asking for a duel. The rumor that Alfonso punched Cesare spread out fast, Princess overheard the rumor from some ladies, but since they talked about Ari in her last name, Princess mistook Cesare's ex-fiancee as Isabella. She now saw Isabella as her main enemy. Meanwhile Leo III is having a falling out with Rubina, so Isabella is trying to gain more favor from him to free herself from Rubina's shackles.
Well, let's leave behind the discussion about Ari, Cesar, Isabella, Alfonso and talk about something else in the forum... Do you think that Cesar and Julia Helena/Princess end up as a true couple? I'm worried that Cesar will hurt Julia Helena/Princess even more considering that she's just a young girl..
I think Julia Helena will fullfill the role of Ariadne in previous life into this TL. They (Cesare and Julia Helena) will plan a coup d'etat and I think Ari will prevent it this time. I think it will happen after some chapters as Ari is already 21 and Alphonso is 23. We know that Ari killed Alphonso in PTL when she was 21 and at the age of 23, Alphonso died. Cesare is the same shit as the PTL so this time he will plan the coup d'etat again.
I dont think they will, this novel seems to be one of those that dumb up all the female characters but mc.
Julia Helena is dumb. That's why she will help Cesare to get close to him. She will be fullfilling Ariadne's role from Past life. But as i am not the writer so IDK. I am just assuming.
In the final chapter summaries, Helena thinks Isabella is Cesar's ex-fiancée and she wants revenge on her. I think she'll take it out on Ari when she finds out she was Cesar's fiancée and it's because of her that they can never have a relationship (because Cesar is still in love with Ari) And ari is pregnant, so I'm a little worried about what might happen to her and the baby. There is also Cesar's reaction when he learns of the pregnancy. It is also possible that Helena takes Ari's place in the 1st TL especially since she thought when she arrived to be the future queen and that she has a crush on Cesar who is absolutely not interested. So in addition to killing Ari for revenge, she could also decide to kill Alphonso And Rubina could also use her to put Cesar emperor (which is her dream) and that way, if it goes wrong, Helena will be held responsible for everything. But I don't think Cesar is okay with them going after Ari because he still loves her. Or he thinks maybe if he kills Alphonso and he becomes king, he can have Ari It could also be that Helena kills Cesar because he refuses to love her despite all the sacrifices she has made for him.
Some are saying that ari might miscarry just like Isabella but i think the author well never do that with our couple's unclear future there's no reason for alphonso's child not seeing the world
I really hope Ari does not suffer a miscarriage, it would be very bittersweet. But if this were to happen, it would confirm the fact that the destinations did not change but the people who occupied them and that would be sad. I feel that Cesar will go crazy as in the first life and may try to get rid of Afonso and the possible baby of him and Ari I still hope this doesn't happen, it would be lengthening the plot a lot @luliibunny In the last chapters, there is a part where Cesar imagines what it would be like if he had children with Ari and that he would prefer it to be a girl because if it were a boy he would be very jealous of him, if he himself admits that he would be jealous of his own son I don't think That he is capable of raising Alfonso's son, would be the memory of the man he hates the most (Although he could also love him very much for being the son of his beloved Ari)
I don't think Ari will miscarry. Isabella in previous life was quite weak (as in this life too when she almost died giving birth to Ottavio's daughter), and probably she wasn't meant to give birth to Alfonso's heir so she miscarried. On the other hand Ari seems quite fated to Alfonso so she'd give birth to his heir well. Cesare now doesn't even want the throne, he doesn't even have any support, so my guess is Princess might manipulate him into getting an army to get back the throne of Dodessa, leaving Etruscan throne to Alfonso.
I also don't think he would be capable of doing it,I fell like he would be very resentful.I'm just mentioning that this type of scene occurred a lot in novels where the man messed up and is trying to win the mc back, even if she is happily married and carrying a child.
I think Alphonso's morality refused to let him 1.kill his own father 2.commit treason. Cesare did became the king by committing treason, but his position wasn't stable and was always suspicious of ex-Alphonso factions.
To add, why would Alfonso dirty his way to the top when he didn’t need to? I know he's not the most political astute guy up there but he’s the Crown Prince. If there is anyone apart from the king who know the basic political ratification of killing a siting king, let alone his own father. Let’s take the foolish path of killing the king, who in the kingdom is gonna ally with him that won’t betray in the future? His choice of kingslaying and kinslaying just puts him below Cesare. Sure, he gets the throne but he is that desperate to corner himself among nobles who can do the just the same thing to get power? Or even Cesare. Cesare is so gonna look good even he’s an illegitimate child. Who wants to be ruled by future tyrant who just showed his greed for power? I know that in the storyline, he doesn’t like his mother’s ways of securing him the throne even though everyone already knows it would be his. But it also shows he understand why it has to be done despite his personal feelings. I agree that the path is just a recipe for him to be paranoid. Sometimes, ‘might is right’ isn’t the best way get what you want.
The problem is just being the Crown Prince is not enough to secure your status. That position can be overturned at anytime at the whims of a mad king. Alfonso's father is fucking crazy beyond belief, and there's absolutely no way he would let Ari marry Alfonso. Unless they somehow find something to extort or blackmail him with it's highly unlikely that they'll ever get the chance to live a happy life. Regardless if they kill the king or not, there will always be enemies to the throne that want Alfonso dead Being paranoid is the daily life of every king. It doesn't matter if Alfonso secures the throne the legal or illegal way. His life will always be in jeopardy from anti-factions or enemy countries.
Mad king? We talking about Aerys Targaryen-level here? On being the Crown Prince. Okay, you have a point. Being a Crown Prince is not an iron clad and sure fire way to be a king. And the king does have the right to ‘change his mind.’ However, I disagree that changing his mind on a whim on such a crucial and important topic such as a succession or heir is plausible. Succession is always an important topic and while it is not always a zero-sum game, recognized and legitimate successors often have most advantages if push comes to shove. The king, along his family, doesn’t exist in the vacuum of their society. Even if you say that he is Aerys-level mad, doesn’t negate that fact. He may be lost in madness; it doesn’t mean that the people surrounding him don’t have sentiments or even opportunities to bring him (the king) down if necessary. I don’t believe that Alfonso is stripped of resources, considering he is the only recognized successor both by his own family (possibly his maternal family too), most nobles and even the peasants. If Alfonso is to be toppled, I would most likely see it in a battlefield, not in the political arena. On a happy life. The only thing Alfonso needed (for me) is for him to survive and outlive his enemies, be it may be his own father, Cesare or anyone else. Once he does survive, he can do whatever he wanted - even take Ari or solve any issues on that area. If we go back into the original timeline, I don’t think he even got a happy life (not with the crazy princess and his contract marriage to Isabella). Sure. As long as they can outsmart, outsource or outlive Alfonso and his faction. If they cant, they will be the ones killed I agree. My argument is that it is easier for Alfonso and his life if he does things in a legal way. Going against Alfonso (as the legitimate heir) is already an uphill battle and that was Cesare’s experience even if Cesare won in the end. (Then it is Cesare’s problem in the original timeline to establish his own legitimacy that Alfonso already has since birth. Plus that paranoia). His life will always be on danger as you said, but it can be negated or lessened with the advantages he already had from his birth – his legitimate claim, his better social personality compared to his enemies coupled more with advantages he can secure by having more people at his side, more resources at his disposal and even getting better luck. Or marrying the right woman who could provide one or more of the things I mentioned. And getting an heir to succeed him as soon as possible. TLDR - he should take a page out of Cesare's book and be more resourceful and cunning. Resources are nothing and wasted unless used to better his existing advantages. Paranoia wont definitely leave him but his level of paranoia, I assume, would less compared to his enemies. If played his cards right, he can turn that around by being the source of paranoia amongst his enemies. As mentioned in earlier spoilers, he will develop later into a more formidable character and I doubt that development will turn him to a more regressive person.
You know at this point syphilis ain't surprising me the fact that when Alfonso told him that Caesar wanted to have an affair with his wife the first thing that came to his mind is that he should have thought of that first
