I don't think CM is aware that jongnam could help Dongryong so it's leaning more towards family relationship.

I see that many people are using chatGPT but tends to use it incorrectly. chatgpt3.5 will provide direct translations, while chatgpt4.0 will only do direct translations for the first few text. Chaptgpt3.5 is quick but it tends to get names wrong and it tends to forget your name corrections. If you provide too many corrections, it starts confusing character names. When that happens delete the chat and start another.

The 4.0 will start summarizing the longer the chat gets. That said the work around for 4.0 is to 1. Delete the chat log after a few chapters and start a new chat and 2. Ask it to provide direct translations.

Remember that ChatGPT can discuss things with you. Meaning if something looks wrong you just ask it why and how.

    • Jo Geol questions if it's appropriate to conclude matters with Jongnam so quickly, to which Baek Cheon responds casually.
    • Baek Cheon and Yun Jong knew about Jongnam's actions regarding the Maehwa Sword Technique but chose not to act upon it until now.
    • A heated discussion ensues about how to handle the situation, reflecting a mix of disbelief and frustration.
    • Baek Cheon decides to handle matters carefully, considering the gravity of the current situation.
    • Je Gal Ja In, initially confused about his role, is tasked by Baek Cheon to lead the reorganization of the Cheonwoo Alliance, an enormous and unexpected responsibility.
    • Despite his initial reluctance, Je Gal Ja In accepts the role and begins planning meticulously, surprising everyone, especially Baek Cheon, who expected a simpler approach.
    • There's discussion and confusion among the members of the Cheonwoo Faction about the complete overhaul of their organizational structure.
    • The plan involves creating new groups within the faction and mixing members from various backgrounds, which leads to mixed reactions of skepticism, support, and apprehension.
    • The decision to change the structure is attributed to Baek Cheon, the Sword Saint of Mount Hua.
    • Despite reservations, the members eventually accept the new structure due to Baek Cheon’s influence and authority.
    • The implementation of the new system progresses rapidly, surprising many who expected it to take much longer.
    • Cheonwoo Faction's leader, Hyun Jong, initially struggles with the changes but eventually realizes the potential benefits of the new structure.
    • The chapter ends humorously with Hyun Jong being unable to forgive Cheongmyeong's unconventional methods despite his general forgiving nature.
    • Hyun Jong, the leader of Cheonwoo Faction, is visibly upset and resistant to Cheongmyeong's proposal to appoint the young members of Mount Hua as leaders (Dangju) of the faction.
    • Cheongmyeong argues that these young members have proven their capabilities through various challenges, unlike traditional faction leaders who lack real battle experience.
    • Despite initial objections, Danggunak, another faction leader, finds reason in Cheongmyeong's argument, acknowledging the necessity of proven skills over traditional hierarchy in their current situation.
    • Cheongmyeong hastily proceeds to get approval for the new appointments, despite Hyun Jong's protests and attempts to stop him.
    • The chapter ends with Danggunak reflecting on the potential impact and uniqueness of this unprecedented move in the martial arts world, feeling a mix of curiosity and excitement.
    • Hyun Jong is presented with a document signed by various faction leaders, indicating their agreement to a new plan, but he remains skeptical about the authenticity and the methods used to obtain these agreements.
    • Cheongmyeong argues for the necessity of this plan to win their cause, emphasizing strategy over traditional hierarchy.
    • Despite initial reluctance, Hyun Jong proposes a compromise, suggesting that the young Mount Hua members recommended by Cheongmyeong be appointed as deputy leaders (Budangju) of the factions to support the main leaders.
    • Cheongmyeong agrees to this compromise but requests to select the main faction leaders based on his observations of their reactions during the signing process.
    • The chapter ends with the young Mount Hua members feeling resigned to their new roles as deputy leaders, despite not being consulted in the decision-making process.
    • Je Gal Ja In, feeling bewildered, agrees to help select the faction leaders (Dangju) due to the unreliable opinions of Cheongmyeong.
    • He perceives the situation at Mount Hua Sect as bizarre and questions why he, a recent critic of Mount Hua, is chosen for this task.
    • Hyun Jong reluctantly agrees to Je Gal Ja In's involvement, acknowledging Cheongmyeong's lack of mature judgment.
    • Je Gal Ja In suggests that the leadership roles should include a representative from the major factions, considering the current state of Cheon Woo Sect's command structure.
    • He recommends Jeong Li Gok, the leader of Jong Nam, and the former leader of Bae Bang, as suitable candidates.
    • The final candidate for a leadership position is unexpectedly Mo Yong Wi Gyeong, who is shocked and confused by the offer, given his recent criticism of Mount Hua.
    • Cheongmyeong agrees to this, seeing it as a strategic move to pacify Mo Yong Wi Gyeong. Je Gal Ja In is unable to convey Cheongmyeong's actual dismissive attitude toward Mo Yong Wi Gyeong.
    • Jegal Jain enters the room, appearing slightly aged, and nods his head, indicating acceptance of something.
    • Cheongmyeong is surprised that someone readily accepted a certain proposition.
    • Jegal Jain looks a bit embarrassed when Cheongmyeong inquires about the role of a "dangju" (leader).
    • They discuss potential candidates for the role of vice-leader ("budangju"), considering various characters like Nangong, Jin Geumryong, and others.
    • Cheongmyeong muses over the suitability of various candidates, acknowledging the importance of experience and ability to lead.
    • A discussion ensues about the character and suitability of various people like Isongbaek and Jin Geumryong, with some comic relief.
    • Yu Iseol is considered for a role, but she seems very reluctant.
    • Suddenly, Hye-yeon, a monk, arrives, looking frail but determined to contribute to the fight.
    • After some discussion, Hye-yeon is assigned a role, possibly as the vice-leader, and Yu Iseol seems relieved not to be chosen.
    • The final decision is made about the arrangement of leaders and vice-leaders for the upcoming battle.
    • The group then contemplates the challenging prospect of working alongside a character named Jongri, who seems to be a difficult or imposing figure.
    • The character Jo-geol is emotionally moved, realizing he has no choice but to work with Jongri, ending the scene with a mix of resignation and humor.
    • A luxurious pumpkin-colored liquor is being poured into an expensive glass in a plain room, overflowing and spilling onto a tray.
    • The scene is tense, with some characters appearing anxious and a mouse-faced elder nervously watching the person pouring the drink.
    • The liquor bottle shatters suddenly as a character, the elder, timidly speaks to a figure referred to as "Gungju."
    • Gungju (palace master), Namhae Taeyang Gungju Jinpyeong, expresses frustration at being confined to a shabby room and not being on the battlefield despite their side having a clear advantage.
    • Jinpyeong criticizes the current situation in the central plains (중원), feeling that his expectations have been betrayed.
    • An older advisor tries to appease Jinpyeong, but the latter reacts violently, silencing him.
    • Jinpyeong reflects on his royal heritage and the current humiliation of being sidelined in the conflict.
    • Suddenly, Jang Ilso appears at the door, causing fear among those present.
    • Jang Ilso enters the room, stepping through the spilled liquor and blood, and mocks Jinpyeong for his current state.
    • They exchange tense words, with Jinpyeong resenting Jang Ilso's patronizing attitude.
    • Jang Ilso hints at a possible new opportunity for victory in the war and asks Jinpyeong what he desires, offering to help him achieve it in exchange for a small price.
    • The chapter ends with Jang Ilso laughing maniacally, suggesting a new phase of the conflict is about to begin, while Jinpyeong appears overwhelmed and fearful.
    • An awkward atmosphere pervades a meeting room filled with familiar and some unfamiliar faces, including Jong Li-Gok, Dang Gun-Ak, Maeng So, Pung Yeong Shin-Gae, and Mo Yong Wi-Kyung.
    • The gathering is a mix of usual and new members, but the combination of these characters creates a unique and tense dynamic.
    • Greetings and acknowledgments are exchanged among the attendees, with Mo Yong Wi-Kyung expressing relief at being paired with Yoon Jong.
    • Cheongmyeong jokes about the pairings, commenting on the suitability of some match-ups, and discusses with others.
    • Maeng So expresses doubts and concerns about the new arrangements and the meeting's decisions.
    • Cheongmyeong reassures everyone, stating that the choices made are correct and emphasizes the importance of trust among the group.
    • A focus is on the unlikely and uncomfortable pairing of Baek Cheon with Jong Li-Gok, creating a humorous yet pitiable situation.
    • Cheongmyeong explains that their enemy, Jang Il-So, doesn't rely on traditional strategy but instead uses psychological warfare and manipulation, emphasizing the need for unity and trust among them to counteract this.
    • The chapter concludes with a resolute declaration to begin their war effort, emphasizing the gravity and seriousness of the situation ahead.
    • A meeting is held between three individuals: a renowned faction leader, a loyal assistant, and another key figure.
    • The third individual, observed with discomfort by the assistant, feels visibly uneasy and intimidated.
    • The meeting atmosphere is heavy and tense, with Baek Cheon feeling particularly pressured by Jin Cho-Baek, his father, and Jong Li-Gok.
    • Jin Cho-Baek expresses his dissatisfaction with Baek Cheon's demeanor and achievements in Hwasa, despite Baek Cheon's significant reputation and status.
    • Jong Li-Gok tries to ease the tension, but his efforts are met with mixed reactions.
    • The conversation shifts to the importance of separating personal feelings from official duties, emphasizing cooperation for the greater good.
    • Baek Cheon stands up and firmly asserts his commitment to Hwasa and the role he must play, disregarding any personal sentiments involving his father or other family ties.
    • As Baek Cheon leaves, he accidentally forgets his sword, leading to a comedic and somewhat embarrassing moment for him.
    • Jin Cho-Baek and Jong Li-Gok reflect on Baek Cheon's character and potential, with Jong Li-Gok hinting at the possibility of Baek Cheon surpassing even his father in skill and renown.
    • The chapter concludes with a discussion about a secret treasure ("Bigo") of Jongnam, containing a potent elixir ("Sang Cheon Yak Su"), and Jong Li-Gok's cryptic remarks about the convergence of goodwill and interest.
    • Baek Cheon encounters Jo Geol and Yun Jong, looking exhausted and distressed after his meeting.
    • Jo Geol and Yun Jong discuss Baek Cheon’s strained relationship with his father, Jin Cho-Baek, comparing it to the difficult bond Baek Cheon shares with his brother, Jin Geumryong.
    • Baek Cheon expresses his disinterest in reconnecting with his father, despite suggestions from Jo Geol and Yun Jong to mend their relationship.
    • They reflect on Jin Cho-Baek's intimidating nature, hinting at a complicated and possibly abusive past with Baek Cheon.
    • Baek Cheon then brings up his responsibilities as the vice-leader of his faction and shifts focus to the upcoming challenges and strategy.
    • The scene shifts to Cheongmyeong, Im So-Bing, and Jegal Jain discussing the current war situation, with a focus on the puzzling inactivity of their enemy, Jang Il-So, and his faction.
    • Cheongmyeong dismisses the idea of a complex strategy from Jang Il-So, insisting that they should act instead of overthinking.
    • He highlights the need for offense and suggests it's time to attack, breaking away from a defensive stance.
    • The chapter ends with Cheongmyeong's decisive and intense declaration to cut off Jang Il-So's lifeline and end the conflict, marking a shift from defense to offense in their strategy.
    • Late at night, Baek Cheon, Yun Jong, Jo Geol, and Hye Yeon gather together, sharing a sense of heavy responsibility and uncertainty.
    • They discuss the overwhelming responsibility of leading hundreds of people, feeling unprepared and anxious about the lives they now hold in their hands.
    • Jo Geol expresses his frustration and disbelief at being tasked with such a significant role, feeling overwhelmed by the expectations placed upon them.
    • Yun Jong acknowledges their lack of experience and suggests they request a reevaluation of their roles to ensure some form of safety and guidance.
    • Baek Cheon reflects on Cheongmyeong’s past struggles when he first joined Hwasan and draws parallels to their current situation.
    • Baek Cheon points out that waiting for more experience or wisdom isn't always the solution, emphasizing the need to take action despite feeling unprepared.
    • He expresses a desire to support Cheongmyeong, feeling a sense of duty to stand with him in these challenging times, regardless of the obstacles they face.
    • The group agrees to try their best, acknowledging that they need to show the same determination as Cheongmyeong once did.
    • Yun Jong silently reflects on Baek Cheon's dedication, harboring a mix of admiration and sorrow, understanding the weight and urgency of their current situation.
    • Namgung Dowi rushes ahead, ignoring his injuries and concerns from his accompanying physician, Dang Soso.
    • Dang Soso catches up with Namgung Dowi, wrapping his arm in bandages and insisting he slow down for his health.
    • Dowi reflects on his frustration with being potentially sidelined in upcoming events, fearing he may become irrelevant compared to others like Cheongmyeong.
    • He expresses a desire to be more than just a supporting role, wanting to actively contribute and stand out.
    • Dang Soso questions Dowi's sudden concern for recognition, to which he responds that he wants to achieve more, especially after avenging the Black Dragon King.
    • They discuss Cheongmyeong’s probable actions during Dowi's absence, anticipating he must have taken bold steps by now.
    • Arriving at Hwaum, Dowi learns from his clansmen about a drastic plan to dismantle Namgung Clan and establish new factions, a decision made by Namgung Myeong in his absence.
    • The clansmen express their discontent with the plan, feeling their contributions would only serve to elevate others, not their own clan.
    • Dowi becomes furious at their lack of gratitude and understanding, especially given their past struggles and reliance on others for survival.
    • He confronts the clansmen for their selfish outlook, emphasizing the importance of recognizing the help they've received.
    • Dowi realizes his role in addressing the discontent within the clan, deciding to take action to teach them the value of their freedom and rights.

Few corrections in the quoted summary, it's Chung Myung not Baek Cheon.

I just arrive after CWM and Jang Ilso finished the magyo around chapter 1080s.
They rescue a mother and child. They're the only survivor in that area. Brought them to CWM base and hire the mother to work since she has no plae to go.
But is there something else hidden about the mother and child here?
Nokrim king and CM are suspicious about them at first.
I think it's strange for the author to create and introduce normal civilians here.

Ah you still have a long way to go lol.
Your suspicion will be answered (*sort of) around chapter 1580-1600 I think, can't remember. I don't want to spoil it for you but if you don't mind spoilers, you can look a few pages back in this thread. Some people already discussed it.

I've read from page 57-79, no mention of these two.
I read the summary in this thread, from around 1580-1605 too.
    My guess, is
the child is the reincarnation of said magyo leader (but the child is still a baby, could a child be super killer and massacre Jang Ilso's elite soldier?) or maybe the mother is the traitor inside CWM

To be specific, it's 1602-1603. I'm gonna put it in a spoiler below and highlight the important parts in bold, read it at your own discretion.
The mother and the child is probably just a red herring. People speculate (and I share the same opinion) that the mysterious figure in chapter 1603 is the heavenly demon.

It's him! It's Cheonma. No doubt about it. Who else can evaporate humans in one fell swoop. Leaving no traces except a little bit of scrap of clothing. :blobtaco:

    Part of 1601
The Honggyeon, who was leading, kicked the horse's side.

    'Faster!'

Even though they still have time, his heart is burning.

They know that if they delay, they won't be able to accomplish what they want.

Before that hateful Hwasan Geomhyeop arrives, they must erase all that is alive in Hwaeum. May he lose everything, and finally himself, so that he may rampage as a demon.

    'Faster!'

It was a moment where he tried to talk himself out of it again.

    "Captain! Up ahead!"

    "Mm?"

    The Honggyeon frowned.

The road from the prairie to Seomseo is literally a wasteland. A vast wasteland with nothing to block the view.

But there was something in that desolate land, where there was no sign of life.

    'A person?'

The person walking through the wasteland had blood-red robe worn and tattered by the wind. In fact, it is something closer to a behemoth rather than a blood robe.

Even the feet exposed under the blood red robe were not even equipped with shoes.

If he is walking through this wilderness looking worse than a beggar.......

    'Is he a lunatic?'

No one in their right mind would traverse the land dressed like that.

    "What should I do?"

    "Sounds obvious."

    Chaeng.

A sword with deadly blade ki was pulled out of the sheath.

There is no need to leave a witness. Anyone who sees them must be killed, just in case.

    'Consider yourself unlucky.'

    Taat!

He kicked the horse's flank. The rider lunged at the man like he was on a rampage. The Honggyeon, who approached at a sharp angle, lunged at the man's back.
Part of 1602, following what happen on 1601
......It's devastating. He wonder if that even begins to describe this sight.

Ho Gamyeong has been through countless battlefields, seen a lot of deaths, and seen the smoldering misery that permeated within.

On the contrary, that's why he couldn't understand it at first.

It was a sight like this that drew his owner, Jang Ilso, to this far away place. But on the other hand, it was understandable.

Certainly, the sight before him was horrendous and bizarre.

The only thing one can see is a rather large puddle. More precisely, a strip of land about two dozen sheets in diameter, stained reddish black against the yellowish-orange surrounding land.

There is no sign of human presence. It's only the occasional scrap of clothing or scattered bits of flesh that hint at the many people who "were" here.
    Ending part of 1602
    Sageurak.

    Sageurak.

White, shoeless feet trudged lazily through the short, overgrown bushes.

Steps that are never too fast. There's not even the slightest hint of a rush.

His face, half-hidden by a ragged blood-red robe, had not yet fully grown. However the eyes were empty, as if they contained nothing.

    Sageurak.

    A foot steps forward.

Without knowing exactly where he was going, the awakened person simply followed his instincts.

But he will find it eventually.

If he walks and walks, he will eventually find it out. When the moment comes when he's right where he's supposed to be, right where he's supposed to reach.

    Sageurak.

The person who was taking steps as if in penance slowly turned his gaze somewhere else.

A large mountain range that touches the southern sky. And in the center of it all, a towering, rocky peak.

It was too far away for the human eye to see, but he saw it all as if he could hold it in his hands. With a pair of blank eyes.

He stared at the mountain wordlessly, then looked away again, as if he had lost interest.

    He remembers it.

Despite not having been told, despite not having been taught, he knew what he had seen a moment ago.

    "Hwa......san......"

He uttered those short words like a song and continued walking again.

One step forward. One step forward.

A walk that feels like it w
ill never end, but will end like a lie.

Speaking of which, reading the dalai lama there, reminds me of the dalai lama kid, ogum meet many years ago. The one that's having some kind of trance in front of CM.
The dalai lama kid and the baby they rescue are different persons, right?

So, it's not an adult man....right? Or it's translation problem?

    Yes! They are different.

After seeing how overpowered our main boss is, I just wonder how they defeated him 100 years ago. it was stated they fought against him with every sword master, their sect's ace.. And Chung myung too. But he(cheonma) is overwhelming. :blobfearful:
I will just sit back and observe.

Probably a young man around Chung Myung's age if we're going by the theory that they both reincarnated at the same time, assuming the young man really is heavenly demon.

No one in the story has explained further but from what I read so far, my guesses are: Wudang, Namgung, and Shaolin.
If I remember correctly, someone said that Chung Myung was one of the three best swordsman at that time. The other two would probably be from Wudang and Namgung. They are the only ones that make sense considering their fame and that they are sword sects. Someone from Jongnam could be one of the two but I doubt it.

I've browsed this thread so much while reading the last 300 chaps that I know it like the back of my hand haha and want to update it to the latest. It says anyone can edit but I don't see any option for it. Is it cause I'm a new acc?
