NUF Townsmen! Come gather ‘round and hear me out! The 2nd of 5th month- in others words, today! Not now nor later but this morning of early chirps, that’s right...This morning I woke up in the blazing hot heat of spring rays... It was unbearable, so terrible! I grabbed my phone as per my usual habit, alas alas~ I suddenly remembered “electric guitars are nice”, thinking of my old self wanting an actual electric guitar for no other reason except that it’s cool and liking the sounds of other musicians. I opened the tabs and searched for electric guitars for beginners and... currently at this moment I need help... That’s right Nuffians!! I need your help!! *cue D-D-D-D-Dora, D-D-D-D-Dora! Dora Dora Dora the explorer! Yay!* jk lol https://www.amazon.com/Squier-Fender-Affinity-Jazzmaster-Electric/dp/B01N6SPQJG Is this one good? Can I play electric without an amp? Will it be too loud with an amp?(I don’t have soundproof room) Is there a less loud amp? (I don’t want it too loud to bother the neighbors) Can I use the pedal without amp? Or they go together to make the sounds? Or rather, do we even have guitar otaku in here?????
I highly doubt such a cheap guitar could be considered 'good.' At best, 'acceptable for someone who knows little better' or 'doesn't expect much' would be more accurate. It might just suffice to dip your toes. If you wish to make the guitar play the sound it is meant to, yes, you need an amp and speaker. Same with the guitar itself, you get what you pay for. You can turn down the speaker/amp, or if your amp/speaker has the option, plug in headphones. Eventually, you will want to invest in various distortion pedals that will alter the sound in ways you want. You'd be surprised how deep the rabbit hole goes in this regard, and how often you need multiple distortions, sometimes layered, to produce the kind of sound well-known players/bands put out. Edit; Info is second hand from having a friend who started the same hobby a year or two ago.
Get an acoustic guitar to learn on. It's cheaper, doesn't need an amp, isn't as loud. If you like it and learn, then consider buying a decent electric with an amp.
Yes yes I under stand it will be pretty shit, but I appreciate the advice I was kinda suspicious of the price as well Well u see I played the acoustic guitar before and now I want to try the electric guitar
Then go for it. Not sure about your guitar choice, I'm not too knowledgeable about them, but if you know how to play, and you like it, then pursuing it is natural. What little I do know about electric guitars is, you need an amplifier. You can get a pretty small practice one for a lot less than a good full sized one. (I didn't click your link, sorry). You can also get powered headphones to plug into your guitar, but I think a practice amplifier is cheaper and you could plug in regular headphones into that. The various peddles actually need to be plugged into an amplifier to work. I think the guitar plugs into the peddles and then the peddles get plugged into the amplifier. Without an amplifier, you can't hear what the peddles do.
Buy cheap one for your suddenly pop up motivation When your motivation dissappear you won't hurt too much
