Villian because a Hero has too many responsibilities and expectations. As a Villian, I can do whatever I so desire.

I don't want to work for the greater good, I want to do as I please. But I don't mean it in the japanese cucked way where I would roam around not doing anything of substance maybe saving a pretty girl or two to ingratiate myself to her. I mean that I would follow my ambitions of power and wealth, so I guess this makes me more of a villain ? I'm no philanthrope.

Depends~ If it's a Japanese setting where the hero never kills the villain and tries to talk them out of the evil side and into joining the good side, I'd be a villain. Beat up the hero a few times, then join his side and be absolutely passive and help out when everyone's on the verge of dying. In any other setting where heroes kill the villains, I'd be a hero, tyvm.

If killing your enemies is villain then I pick that. I hate the everyone needs to be brought to justice bs where the bad guy always has a chance to pop back up and cause problems in the future. Better to just kill enemies and be done with them once and for all. You save far more lives with a dead psychopath / sociopath than a living one that always somehow breaks out of jail and massacres people.

I don't like the concept of hero because they make you believe that there should be someone extraordinary to save the day... The truth is everyone can if each one does their own share. Come on even if you were a freakin demon lord you can't possibly fight against an army of all ethnicity/races compose of D - A rank of strengths even with your so called army... Villains are ok except for those who did crazy twisted stuff. So I'll stick with being villager A doing my best farming or whatnot everyone needs to eat and that's my contribution to society if everyone go and becomes a hero what then? =))

I'll stay as random villager. Hero have too much responsibilities and I don't like hurt others so villain is out of question for me too.

Judging from my actions in games with karma or good / bad or light / dark side, i'm an extreme pragmatist.

Being nice gets you more things ? Done. Opposite and it doesn't cost me in the long run ? Done
Being evil gets me more women in this case ? Done . Good gives more friends ? Eeeh

I think i'm what's referred to as Chaotic Neutral.
Doing slightly evil, and slightly more fun things, but losing out in the long run ? Not done
Not all games tend to favor one of the sides, but if they do, I might go with that.

    But Anti-Hero isn't allowed...
So, Heroic Villain or Villaineous Hero it is then !

A hero. Because as unfair as it is, the hero almost always survives :blobcry::notlikeblob::blobsad:

Villain, not because of ambition, honesty, or some notion that I am morally bankrupt. No, I choose villain because whatever comeuppance that will fall upon me would be absolutely delicious.

Definitely Villain. Specifically a villain like Leylin Farlier from Warlock of the Magus World.
That character and me actually are pretty similar in the path of Villainy.
Pragmatist and realist bastard whos Alignment is Neutral - Evil..

Would do anything to get things done. If the way of Hero works best for the things I want, then I would use it. If the way of Evil Overlord works best for it, I would be Evil Overlord.

Well, only difference with Leylin and me would be; He set only one goal for himself and did everything to achieve it.
While I like to do anything I want even its consequences are somewhat risky. As long as I decide it isn't too risky to do it, I would do everything I want to do.
Lets say, I am bored and want to do blow up a city. If I am a weak piece of sht, then I wouldn't do it. I would go and blow up some small village instead.
On the other end; Leylin wouldn't want to blow up somewhere just because he is bored. Even if he did, he wouldn't even take 0.1% risk to relieve his boredom if it is affecting his real goal.

As the over 30 year old who almost always plays good aligned characters in D&D and goes for the "good" paths in video games, I immediately clicked hero no question.
Granted, I'm assuming villains are doing evil things and heroes are against them (I'm not going to play this game of "relative morality").
