Actually, since he was the one who kidnapped MC's bro, he should have been alert seeing MC. But, just a few minutes before MC's appearance, her bro actually fled from his confinement spot which was close to the place where MC appeared. The forced car accident that tried to kill MC when she was out with the assistant was actually to kill her bro who had just escaped... The bad man thought MC's bro safely escaped and met the assistant. So for him, all this time MC has been the bro who escaped his ploy.

U said that ML was pretty bad at first then became good by the end, did he cheat on MC or betray her in anyway? I knows he’s cold and bossy but he wasn’t that bad for me at least and he is always the one chasing MC. I love the MC coz she’s so cool and doesn’t take any crap from anyone no matter who they are. Did MC & ML GOT married? What happen to Will? And Jinge? I like them too and I know they have some feelings for MC. How long is the novel? Sorry to bother u with all these questions but I can’t find the novel in English and the manga takes a while to update. I do not remember every detail right now. But can surely give you an idea on what happened about any thing if you ask me...
Spoiler: How is ML bad at first (for me) The ML, Jize, is indeed very cool but... he never gives a chance to our MC, Lu Dingning. There's an instance in which MC suffers from bronchial ashtma but Jize is busy with solving BUGs at his company. MC is unable to contact him but encounters Ji Jinge. The guy helps MC at her home and guards her all night. When the day came, ML arrived at MC's home. He saw clothes scattered (which were all coats according to previous chapter). He saw Ji Jinge on MC's bed who was tired (as he took care of MC all the night and when she felt cold, provided her coats and himself as a warmer). And MC who was lethargic (due to her asthma). When MC woke up to find him she spoke in a hoarse voice (due to asthma). ML turned away but stayed outside her house in hope she catches up. But how will she? If a woman had really done that, she usually has trouble walking up from her bed, not to mention that MC had asthma all the night. MC does try to catch up but falls down before she reaches even her own bedroom's door due to a sudden attack of asthma. ML figures out she's busy with Ji Jinge and didn't bother to come after him. Later, when MC's condition becomes better she goes to ML to explain. But that guy didn't even give her a chnace to listen to her explanation. It was this attitute of ML towards MC that made feel that he's bad and doesn't even give her the basic trust between couples. Even cheating couples give each other a chance. Not to mention the scattered clothes were coats, MC and Ji Jinge both were already dressed no matter how badly and MC was lethargic as such there's no way she had ability to catch up to ML as ML wished. As such he was a bad ML for my cool MC... Spoiler: MC&ML getting married It's pretty much at the end of novel. Spoiler: What happened to Will? Ji Jinge? (At the end) Both Will and Ji Jinge give up in pursuit of MC but both of them still support her greatly. Will still supports her as her brother while Ji Jinge considers her a best friend. Will has no further romantic development but Ji Jinge may like Duan a little. Spoiler: Does manga follow everything in novel or there's a change? There is a change as much as I have seen in manga. For example, the incidence of ML crossdressing to impress MC (who dressed up as a boy) to impress her. It's not in the novel. The manga is fast so you may miss some little tidbits given in novel.
