Hiya, I’m kinda new here and I really like this website... So I was wondering, Does Novel Updates have their own app? Cuz I think it will be easier and faster for me to receive notifications from the app itself directly (if there ever was one) than looking through my email (which has millions of spams).... If there wasn’t an app, then I will recommend it for the creator to please make one- if only it doesn’t trouble them... and thanks to anyone who will respond to this thread...
There is one but I don’t think it is made by the developers of the website. At least I am not aware of it. Just go to the App Store, it is called Novel Loop. And login with your novel updates username and password.
All i know is that you can Filter the Update List of NovelUpdates, you can filter out all Novels with Tags that you dont like (Yaoi,Yuri,Gender Bender.....). Such novel then Dont shop up in the in the Update List. You can even Filter the Translation Group out. And if you Want to go further then, you can Include A genre List. This will only Show up Novel in the Update List, if they have your included Genre (As only Action, Romance and more) If you Filter out Genres that you Really dont Like and only Add a boarded range of Genres that you like then, the Update list of NovelUpdates will shrink Really much.
There is no OFFICIAL app. Since there is no NU api available, the third-party apps tend to screw up your reading list, every once in a while. Or so I've noticed from people trying to report bugs that show in the apps only. If you want easy updates of novels on your reading list, install an RSS Reader. GO to your reading list and click on the icon next to the list settings: Copy the address and paste it into the RSS Reader.
There is none and there are no plans of making on either. There isn't much or anything that an app can do that makes it worth developing. It'll basically be the same as browsing on the browser because you'll still need to visit the translator sites and all that. If you want to receive notifications of updates, you can just subscribe to the RSS Feed of your Reading List... Or just check it once a day or something, it's not that hard.
