So recently (2020~2021) Sign in system novels have become popular but it is following same urban cultivation/system genre and going down hill. Summary on urban genre:- Either Mc is reincarnated or gets a system. If he reincarnated he will meet old man(rich) who is either sick or had some ghost thingy and face slapping with young master, little bit like tiny bit of killing. And if he gets system then he will probably meet old man but chances are low but percentage of face slapping is equally high. Urban genre follow this format. Now we come to our main topic Sign in system novels. They are good (probably) because we don't need to see face slapping and mc seeking death(Relief~). But They got have three flaws. 1st:- there are only two realm mortal and heaven. 2nd:- it human vs demon/devil/wrong path etc. 3rd:- these two repeating in almost all novel(I have read about 15 novel [UpTo 100 chaps. And those that I don't read UpTo 100 chaps are alot], they have same Pattern, and some novels just copy heavenly court in heaven realm~ yup the monkey king heavenly court) There are some good points in these novels they just don't copy other novel moves/technique. P.s My English is not good sorry for that.
Sounds like budget smt as a wn to me Jokes aside, those cliches sound perfectly tolerable if it means you get a better mc and story arcs that are more than mc circlejerk with a load of faceslapping.
there are some novels that are not between good and evil, but between a chaotic neutral mc and those who wanted to be face slapped. but yeah good vs evil is too over rated, it is not as entertaining or fun as it was, or rather it never was. the only thing why people wants to become a hero is for their powers, not to save others, cause why? and yeah i think the base story are based on what's popular, they would copy the same base and change things and add some twists.
They were. I started reading mtl of a sign in novel :- chapter 340+ something. Mc"is the demon who is causing destruction in heavenly court a monkey?" Powerful character of heavenly court" No it's not" Chapter 500+- Mc"is the demon who is causing destruction in heavenly court a monkey?" Same Powerful character of heavenly court" How would I know? " And I skipped ahead and it turned out the heavenly court become same heavenly court with gods whom I can't remember names. The novel foundation was not of heavenly court but after 350 chapter it become that! wasted my entire week!
Most of these MCs turn out to be an inhuman level of hermits too. Like immediately after reincarnation they’re all like, let’s stay in this arbitrary area with little to no human contact for years on end. God that cold palace MC spends half a century barely talking to anyone. Like how does anyone go from a normal person to that? Then again Chinese authors….
