Though I have not read the novel yet I think in the mind of the author although we read it as non-consensual, since they have that sort of relationship first it was easier to just chalk it up as a very rough play. To be honest, it is unacceptable. However the portrayal of Yiwon is someone who is rough but once he form that attachment he latches on to the person. Just like how he was not able to say no to a father that had left him since infancy and caused his mother so much grief. His relationship with Caesar runs even much deeper therefore he forgave him even with the amount of transgression against him. I think he is portrayed as a person who forms unhealthy attachments. Which is sad since I would say that some people also have the same mental state and can fall a victim to abusive relationships because of this. I'm just rambling and word vomiting. I'm already stressed and when I saw the update on one of the websites I peruse when reading translated manwah I felt sick to my stomach since I didn't expect it to turn out like that and I regret checking it out when I am not in the right headspace lol.
Literally feels like the author changed halfway. In kiss me liar (same author), the toxicity of the seme & the uke's dismissal of the red flags were always present; however, in this story, leewon always seemed pretty sensible and would call Caesar out for his bs. Altho Caesar had some questionable behaviours, he always seemed to care for Leewon & wanted his consent. I thought their first night would be romantic & sweet (especially after those 2 make out fests); who would have expected it to be rape? The author basically pulled the tablecloth from underneath us. This went from one of my fav bl stories & ukes to a mindf*ck. What annoys me the most is that Leewon just turned into the stereotypical uke who forgives everything the seme does bc he loves him. It's like, hon, he literally tortured u for days. If it was just gunshots, it might (emphasis on might) be understandable, but he raped & tortured him for days. Hopefully, the author redeems this story & adds some sort of side story that shows Caesar making up for it like in Kiss Me, Liar Side story. Or maybe the artist leaves out the SA. Are gunshot wounds, kidnapping, imprisonment, and torture not hardcore enough to develop the plotline?
Well it makes sense because of who the author is they also wrote kiss me liar And if you read that one it makes sense this author takes a very clear road until most of how the written pieces go mow see if they’re BL it always seems to be the basic clearly they won’t do that it doesn’t make sense for the story and then just weirdly rationalize it and then forgiveness for no goddamn reason if you just read ones from an author and then twice and then they’re the same then it’s clearly a thing they always do
Do you know how he came to forgive him and how the misunderstanding was solved? Also, what happend to the father?
GOOD NEWS, there was a notice in the manwha saying the artist won't follow the plot of the novel very closely. However, Tsar just shot Leewon in the manwha, so idk if they will proceed with the SA and the change is gonna be that they don't end up together, or if there will not be SA.
I don't know how it happened, bc I didn't read the novel. From reading spoilers, I think he thought Caesar died and forgave Caesar when he found out he was alive. It's on hiatus next week; here's to hoping they rethink the plot. The dad survived and retired. Hopefully, it's the latter. I was really liking their dynamic. I would like to think Caesar cares about Leewon enough to not SA him :'|
I read it from one of the pages in the novel. Dimitri said it himself. Although I'm not sure wether he's telling the truth or not. Secondly, if u have read spoilers on the tweeter, it is said that he does rape him while he's bleeding. That's why some found it very disturbing. All the people I've got spoilers from said the same thing. Now u r saying that he didn't rape him?! People were disgusted abt the fact that Caesar r*pes him while he's bleeding. If u don't trust me, then that's up to u dear friend. I have no reason to spread false spoilers
Well, the dreaded chapter (chapter 42) is here and it turns out that the manhwa is following the novel to a T much to the dismay of many fans. I mean I don't blame the artist or the team responsible for adapting this, they did their job, I just got it in my mind that the manhwa is going to change or lessen the impact of the rape part. The dude is mental and he is even blaming the uke. I loved this so far and won't drop it because I'm so susceptible to the sunk cost fallacy but this is going to be hard to read through
If there is one thing that is keeping people to follow and read this manhwa despite the trash things it use is the art style the expressions the details and the scenes they deserve 10/10 points, this author is a lost cause she has brilliant and good plot lines but a shitty way to tell them and even shittier characters to portray it,sa or rape ect, should never be dismissed or brushed off so is cheating which seems the norm for this author, people like this in my opinion really should be banned from writing especially a boy love one,i think we should wait 2 centuries ahead so that bl authors stop using sa or rape as a plot device and acknowledge that man rape isn't something that can be dismissed people lives are destroyed by this thing they take too lightly I'm a woman and i feel very very uncomfortable reading even knowing that it's fiction imagine the pain it will cause to someone who have been through this!it's okey to tell rape but never romanticize it or use erotica to make the pact sound less horrible or brush it off without solving it properly since u started the sh1t finish it properly
I just got my hands On the MTL and decided to share with you guys https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CZqzjVe2O7rz9bvngHsd9JphQ3z9Bdbw/view?usp=drivesdk
Wild how some of you were so condescending and rude about people’s spoilers, laughing at them for believing in something so easily, when it turns out you were wrong. Chapter 42, he r*ped an unconscious MC he had shot multiple times. It’s okay to make mistakes and be wrong about spoilers, or to disagree, but you were mean about it for no reason, AND wrong lol
Yeah I don't get why people were so confident about that I mean MTL often messes things up but it won't change a normal situation into a shooting, kidnapping, rape, etc.
I rlly trusted it when people said the author is gonna change the manhwa but nope.. he still shot him, kidnapped and r*ped him. Maybe the "change" the author is talking about is the duration of the r*pe... It's still fucked up no matter how long or how many times. I'm greatly disappointed. Hopefully the uke won't let this slide easily..
I was DEVASTATED when I read it but so far, I'm hoping they will change Leewon's "acceptance" of Caesar. It seems so unfair and unreal. I want the manhwa author to change at least that part. I want Leewon to be furious, to be cold, to be all things dismissive and horrible to Caesar as Caesar was to him in those 8 days. Figz has a terrible way of addressing this issue as well as portraying the ukes. I hope the manhwa will be able to fix that error, especially since it's largest complaint I saw on Naver. Though there were plenty about the rape, most of the readers were pissed for Leewon accepting Caesar so readily. Like??? Make it make sense.
