I haven't read any forum updates in ages, but I've finally caught up on most of the spoilers... I can't wait to tear myself apart with the novel! I'm dying to know what happened after chapter 1091...
However, since I've been rereading it from the beginning (over and over again) on skydemonorder I feel my brain dry up thinking about the MTL translation.
So I guess I'll just wait...
For now, I'm rereading the funniest chapters, so can someone tell me in which chapter CM ordered Baek-Ah to find the scent of the boy and the old man (I don't remember their names) in the ice palace archway?

Waiting and reading the skydemonorder translation and then mylasted ‘Machine Editing’ translation gave me enough context and how author writing style is. Which help with understanding mtl on wards at least bearable.

At the start I mistaken Baek Jeon-ah as a bird, because of how it was describe as flying above mc head or something along this line. It only clarified to me when I saw the illustrations here. Hahahaha
How did a bird or a weasel able to dominate and defeat a white tiger? Lol!

In order to better read the mtl read the human translation from skydemonorder website.
Then jump to mylasted ‘Machine Editing’ website for continuition.
After that, jump to any mtl site and use different mtl version to clarification of muddled part.
I used comrademao website(as it use it’s own gloassary) and other mtl site(for clarification).

Long time no see! (I’m jealous, I wanna binge-read tooㅠ)

To put it short, uh,….it’s been eventful. So eventful.
Everyone’s still losing their minds and went wild, just your ol’ good scenario wherever there’s Hwasan. It’s been crazier these days since the current arc started (takeaways : grain is very very important). It’s on thinn ice now. Honestly I really recommend to start catching up even with MTL since some chapters are just more shocking than others.

 

I have a question.

At the conclusion of the Yangtze River Pirate Arc.

Can somebody explain who are the manipulator of that said events?

 

How far did you read? Did you finish the ch 800 arc yet? Events in this series all snowball together and ch 800 is like the accumulation of all that build up exploding in our faces all at once. (From ch 300's xian arc, to ch 400's man-in-bang invasion arc, to the ch 500/600 noklim war and ch 700 pirates hunt - they all kinda slowly set up for ch 800's arc)

If you've read that far and still don't see it then let me know. I can share a summary i wrote for a friend cuz they were also confused by what was going on LOL.

The one I’m confused about is who is manipulating the first incident in the yangtze river, for targeting the Phantom/Ghost Sect couriers. The people who beheaded the pirates who fled.

From what I understand it was one of Jang Ilso henchmen, although I’m not sure. Because it was describe there in mtl as military men.

 

From my understanding the yangtze river pirate incident was instigated by Jang ilso - just like the Noklim war.

He was the one who somehow instilled the idea to go after hwasan affiliated merchants (and thereby provoking hwasan's main mountain to come down and deal with the issue)

The details on why tho become clear after the ch 800 arc. XD

 

I am laughing at reading the mtl, as it keep mistranslating fight scene.

One moment one character is describe as having his head torn off, then the next he is jumping as if flying to attack another.

Then there is side characters getting killed off one after another, but mtl describe it as only getting pounded one after another.

I really find it hilarious and it make the gruesome scene joyful.

The ending and conclusion of the battle of Yangtze River in chapter 824 doesn’t make sense. Mc side are winning and the faction being save, hinder the savior faction just to compromise for a defeated deal. What’s the point of the plot where they scale the whole cliff during the whole battle, just to ask for a compromise deal?!?

Sorry my rant, i just didn't like what happened.

 

Black/ Cancer scented plum sword = 암향매화검(暗香梅花劍). = Dark Fragrant Plum Blossom Sword <<<<<<<< I translated this personally as “Hidden Fragrance Plum Blossom Sword” as the chinese words usage and the way CM explain it with Elder Tang blacksmith. CM: (A sword that when drawn it fragrant the dark night) & Elderly Tang: (A sword drawn when the darkness falls) <<< Basically the same idiom a “The Sword that Illuminates the Darkness”


Hwasan Medical/Prosecutor's Association = Hwasan Geomhyeop" <<<<<< The right translation is “Mount Hua Gallant/Chivalrous Swordsman” Hence the other Five Sword of Mount Hua and surrounding people are holding their laughter. As the title doesn’t reflect CM instead it basically laugh at him if people knew the real CM personality.

No one knows yet. Though they were trying to guess and in recent chapter Baek Chun even asked the question but till now it is not discovered.
