Hi, from my memory (might be a little bit unreliable) the novel is a cultivation novel with -Character wise MC has another 2 or 3 Shixiong and 1 Shimei under the same Shizun, their relationship is good to each other and really entertaining to read. I saw a fanart with the MC wearing a yellow clothing (I'm not sure, it's been a long time) with (maybe) a fur coat? and he held a fan in his hand. -Plot wise (this is the hard part, I'm not entirely sure that whether or not what I'm remember is the plot of this specific novel or just another different novel entirely.) 1. In the beginning, the story open with some sort of trial investigation in the sect. The MC has committed a crime (I'm not sure that he really did it or he has been accused) against well-being of another disciple (Might be one of his direct senior brother) and it's really tense all around. The MC's Eldest Shixiong was trying to help him (the eldest shixiong has like a clean, serene, upright and respectable temperament) but the MC was punished anyway. 2. I vaguely remember that there's is a scene where The MC and another character end up in a dessert-like place? and encountered one of MC's senior brother (who has an outgoing, quite unreliable attitude and he's like to drink?) after that they go through a journey and end up at a city. Yes! It's "villain's white lotus halo" but the MC actually doesn't wear yellow clothing, it was one of his martial brother (I misunderstood that he's the MC since he has the most memorable appearance in the fanart)
