I'm just happy they're already married and it isn't completely strained relationship. Its a shame the cold keeps bothering the leads

Spoiler: Manhwa Ch 1-3

ch 1:

• Fl binge read a ropan (the story: love story between royal princess, norther duke, and southern duke.), under the blanket feeling cold. Die, got isekai to a body of a supporting character Aisha. “Aisha” doesnt really has much part in the oriNovel, she is the (ex-)wife of the Northern duke, who betray him and runaway from him. The one who triggered the duke distrust toward women.
  
• Fl woke up in Aisha body, open her eyes to a worried face northern duke(ml) beside her, asking if she’s okay. She looks at the mirror, figured out she’s aisha, then faint because she feels so cold.
  
• Ml affectionately hold her hand when she wakes up again, with worried face. She told him, she wants to got to the south (actually bcs she’s so cold she cant live there). Ml immediately reject, saying he doesnt want to send her anywhere (with blushing face).

ch 2:

• Fl play it off as a joke, but keep saying no, cutting everything she says after that. He doesnt want to send the fl to the south, bcs he hate the south especially the southern duke, and apparently the fl is his friend. Fl, learning that fact, kinda feels happy in her heart as southern duke is her favorite character.
  
• Fl saw the doctor at the door, told ml to let him in. He examined fl, diagnosed her body is incompatible with the north weather. To cure it, he actually wanted to says that its better for her to go to the south, but ml gave a threatening face, then he just say anywhere is fine.
• Ml emphasize again that she cant go to the south and he will make sure of that. Then leave as there is works to do.

Ch 3:

• Fl under great (surveillance) protection, as her maid follow her 24/7, and she’s accompanied by escort knight every time she goes out.
• Fl got a guest coming for her when ml is still out, it was the southern duke. Fl felt excited. He comes to tell her about how her family is doing. Fl kinda feel expectant as she never had a family, but turns out her father is trashy.
• And the duke told her the real purpose of his visit, and then handed out a divorce paper. Apparently Aisha request for it on the day she got married. The duke ask her when she plan to go back to south. Fl was a bit shock with the situation, and said that she cant do that, as she might hurt the ml. The duke widened his eyes wandered why is the heart change, but let go for now, and hurry out before the ml come back.
  
• Fl wander who aisha actually is, having involved with both the oriMls.

Ml is so sus, really sus… His blushing face like he actually like fl, yet he doesnt realize the change of his wife. Too sus….

1. So, why IS ML obsessed with his wife?
2. Is 2ML/Southern Duke OGbody's ally or as what MLs POV/narrative description of him true that he's the sly/sketchy type? Does he also care for MC? I mean, there's no point in lying the OGbody's family are POS but does he have a hidden agenda why he wants her to go back to the south as well?

 

The original character seems to have been abused by her dad since her childhood and then sold to the north duke in place of the debt. The northern duke seems to have abandonment issues ( no idea why) and the south duke seems like a narcissistic jerk who thought the mc would never leave her. I wonder if this relationship was behind the picture in the original story too

 

Just a summary from the novel.

Spoiler: Novel mtl ch 7-8

FL realized that the original body seems to have been abused by her family/dad because there's bruises on her body.
FL father came to the Duke's territory asking for money. The father said the ML can't refuse because of the contract. It seems like the father added a last clause just before they got married. [don't really understand what the last clause us] Although it was unfair to the ML, he doesn't want to refused because of FL. He can easily ruin her father, but she is still from that family. The FL was touched. So, she went to meet her father and asked him to disown her. He signed the disownment papers (after being threatened). She is going to use it to threaten him in the future. The ML provided the money but seems like he gave it for the people instead of directly to the father. After all the chaos, he invited her to go for her daily walk.

Spoiler: Mtl ch 9

FL wants to write a letter to Daven, the ogML. But, the ML keeps holding her hand and also looking at her writing it. FL asked him why he hates Daven so much, and he said it's because of his face and also how she is amiable to him.
When the letter arrived to Daren, his butler (I think) said that there's a letter from the North, so like usual he will disposed of it since North & South just send out letters (invitations) out of courtesy only. Daren got mad because it might be a letter from the FL. Thankfully, the letter wasn't thrown out yet and he read it straight after he received it. In the letter, she said she is grateful for all of his help, but she won't be divorcing him anymore since ML is trying to work the relationship out. And although she's still not used to the coldness, she will soon be able to go to the festival held in the North. Daven was devastated when he knew that the FL doesn't want to divorced him and doesn't want to return back to the South. He then asked the butler when is the South's spring festival going to be held - which is 2 months away.

Spoiler: Mtl ch 10

It's the ice festival. FL & ML went there while holding hands, like always. Before, the ML never officiated the event, but since he came, the host asked him to officiate the start of event. He went there with FL. Since it's her first public appearance, she took of all her ear muffs, gloves, etc (the extra stuff she wore to stay warm). She was feeling so cold and light headed. But then, she felt a glimpse of warmth for awhile out of nowhere.

Spoiler: Chap 11

The FL withstand the cold to enjoy the street food. She then saw aurora for the 1st time and was amazed by it. The ML then had a flashback when he first met her. Back then, the ML went to South as there's someone (her father) who had a large debt with the North. When he went to her place, her father was begging and all. He then saw her kneeling and also begging him to let her father off; despite the bruises on her body. He sympathised her as it reminded him of his mother. I think he took care of her dying mom who has an illness.
Then, the scene changed to someone else. It looks like there's someone who's been spying on FL because she has the got the attention of the 2 dukes, ML and ogML.

Spoiler: Chap 12

The maids were talking about who is the most good looking among Daven, the crown prince and also ML. The maids then asked for FL's opinion. But before she could answer, ML barged inside and took FL out. He seemed like in a bad mood so FL said that she was about to choose him as the most good looking before he came in. So, ML was happy about it, while the FL thinks that she would rather do anything to pleased him in order to survive in the North.
The ice festival ended. And then letter from Daven came. But the ML received it first. When it first came, the letter has a flowery scent and the ML was angry about it. Daven addressed the letter to FL, inviting her to the flower festival. Of course, the ML replied no. Then, Daven replied to ML back saying that he knows that once FL comes to South, she wouldn't want to go back to the North. And they exchanged letters a few times.
FL then came to ML and said she was invited to the flower festival in the South. Seems like the letter was sent secretly to her. She invited ML to go with her to the South. ML agreed because he want to have a face to face with Daven.

Spoiler: Ch 13

So, they prepared to go for the South. FL felt weird because they went ahead planning everything without even saying anything about her decision going to the South. They were supposed to go to South by a ship, but the weather was so cold, and the water is going to freeze. So, they had no choice but to go by carriage. They are going to the capital first and FL was excited about it. ML was a bit upset because she never seems that excited when in the North. So, FL said that it's okay if they don't stop by at the capital because what's important for her is that she wanted to be with the ML more.
They rested for awhile before reaching the capital. FL sat by the fire but ML was far away with the other knights. FL was jealous of them since she's feeling cold while they are feeling hot being near the fire.
Then, they reached the capital by night time. At the hotel, FL was shocked to hear that she's gonna be in the same room as ML.

Spoiler: Ch 14

Inside the bedroom, ML refused to find another room for her saying that the bed is spacious enough for both of them. He even still holds her hand going to the dining room. While she thinks that there's no need for ML to do these, she didn't refuse it.
At dinner, the knights wanted to have a drink. Everyone except for ML drinks. Then, Robert, the guy who appears in the hole when FL wanna run away (Ch 4 Manhwa), wanted to play the truth game. They all kept asking questions, and FL was always the chosen one. As she drank a lot, she felt sleepy. But before she nods off, she said that every night she kept dreaming of Robert's (scary) face. ML was fuming (he's even holding his sword) at Robert asking him why his wife remembers him every night. He can't really defend anything as FL was already sleeping. Chloe, FL escort, doesn't want to disturb their fight because she thinks she would be promoted soon (because she's gonna replace Robert).

I never understand how someone who is a supporting character with no speaking rules all of a sudden get all of the guys to fall in love with them and then the original female lead is left with nobody.
Like can writers really not focus on more than 1 female romance at a time
