I don't think Maxi briefly remember the boy who saved her as a child, she just felt a sense of deja vu that she has known Riftan for a long time.
Reading again the comments of the ending of UTOT, and of "Riftan should've become king", (How could a reader say that?), it goes against the narrative, Riftan has said that palace life suffocates him. What I like about UTOT isn't like other webtoons of their goal to be Emperor, queen, king or empress is more of Riftan and Maxi character development. Even Maxi had said Empire of Roem cannot withhold anymore and is of the past. If Riftan had a first child with Maxi and turns out to be a girl, he will be happy and won't impregnate always to get a male heir like the duke did with Maxi mother that cost of her life, even he has only daughters he will be happy. What I am getting at with Riftan having children and being king it doesn't matter to him or even of him having no children, the only thing that matter to him is to be with Maxi forever.
And that's why it's a wonderful story. It's simply about what Maxi and Riftan want without the typical medieval norms. Just the two of them and everything else that comes along is a benefit.
Exactly! And tbh I really wouldn’t want riftan to be king. He would be so busy and I feel like that could maybe damage his relationship with maxi (just a theory)
I agree with what you all have said. I wouldn't want Riftan to be king or Maxi to be queen. It goes against their character, it would take time away from each other, and would no doubt put more stress on them. Rif was really good at keeping peace but it cost him a lot. I personally felt it wasnt fair that everyone relied on solely him and he had to carry so much weight on his shoulders. I really like that KSJ wrote about how Rif was able to persuade the king to detach the Remdragon knight from the kingdom so now he can refuse to go on a mission if he doesn't want to. His goal really is to be by Maxi's side and to live a life of peace with her. After everything they both have gone through, I really want that for them.
it will end at chapter 46. Why do u find the cave scenes boring? I think those chapters are beautiful. Besides the hot snusnu, they finally able to spend alone time togeher and theres some Maxi’s indirect confession of love to Riftan - where he found out she still keep and cherishes the lucky coin he gave her and she told him she is happy to be in his arms again after 3 long years apart.

Riftan is the ML and everyone had to rely on him for being the male protagonist, and I have noticed in any stories is always the protagonist has so much to weigh on their shoulder.
Did KSJ answer any question about Duke's reaction when he heard about the golem magic? I'm really curious about it, did he refuse to believe it and deny it or was he surprised that Maxi is capable of doing such thing?
I think he doesn't care, he still see Maxi as a useless person even if she has become successful or showing her worth.
Im not shure this is the right place to ask but i couldnt find a theme in the discussions and i cant make a new one because "You have insufficient privileges to post here.". Ive just finished Book 2 part 1 and im hooked. Unfortunately i have to wait for the next english translated book so im searching for something similar to read. It may be a novela or a book - it doesnt matter just to be in english. Something fantasy with characters with harsh backgrounds (i relly liked Riftan's POV and how it explaind his behaviour in the main story, i liked Maxis background also although it wasnt explained in such lenghts as Riftan's) and developing relationship. Burning passion, heartbreaking story and a bit of magic - the good stuff.
