They found out due to the book that he read a lot. The letters fade each time he regressed. Spoiler: Chapter 20 manhwa Edwin can’t see his father anymore. They suspect lonnie is the culprit and Richard isn’t because Richard comforted Edwin after kits death.
So, who’s the culprit that has been killing male lead? Richard was very sus but now I’m not sure cause they’re ruling him out of the suspect list. Lonnie has been acting weird with his expressions and all. They’re sometimes creepy. Idky they aren’t suspecting the emperor so far. I mean, I’m pretty sure that dude hates the male lead cause he’s a threat to the throne.
So we have 2 suspects now: Grand Duke and the King. It's was quite unexpected for the king to actually be a nice father to ML. My assumption is that, the queen probably married the king to save her son from that killer but ML turned sour with resentment. Now we have to see what our 1st impression of Grand Duke is. (He's handsome and looks like howl lol). But the way this story is structured makes me think these two may not be the culprit.
I thought of a possible theory. That the queen originally loved ML's uncle. And his father forced her to marry him, but always felt guilty and regretted after his death. And maybe the uncle took the throne to protect ML from assassination attempts from the Grand Duke. And now ML might be targeted by the Grand Duke because the king wants to put ML on the throne since he's now an adult (or make him crown prince).

Oh, I didn't notice that this novel already have a manhwa But honestly, I some kind hope that the artist will change some details about the story plot to make it more fluently and problem solving will be more 'smart and reasonable' than the novel version The novel itself have a good story plot but the author doesn't know how to make it so the result that all the half-back of the story seem very bored, and also the extra story some kind disappointed me a bit
