There's another one I Raised a Black Dragon. She gets her features from her previous life back. That was different.
There was a novel I was reading and another story I can't remember the names because I dropped them. I dropped them when I realized they kept referring to the female lead as this tiny and petite very pale beauty. Everybody has to protect the pale beauty meanwhile Every other female character is either described very masculine or she's a jealous loose woman.

Alexa using this to discuss something else I saw Very much over female leads Like the 1 in under the oak tree. This feels like the same character. I would have enjoyed this more If this was a very feisty female lead if this was a very smart female lead that did more than just blush

Omg your description is perfect. It's so hard to read decent romance webtoon nowadays. Sometimes I just gave up and read action instead ‍♀️

Are there any spoilers on the villains younger brother?

Also what happened to the baroness and her son?

Maybe I missed the spoiler that spoke about this

Also I didn't read the novel, I'm following the manwha, but I find there's a difference between being naive and just being stupid.

I don’t know/can’t remember who’s Alexa… but if you wanna some stories with strong female leads, I’d suggest:

Beware of the Villainess - One of my favorite Korean manhwas. I love how physically strong and rational Melissa is. She’s funny and dominant. And I love Nine, the ML. He’s weak at first, but becomes physical strong, but even then his strength is equal to Melissa, since he, Melissa and another interesting character, Yona, had to fight together to take down an enemy. And, this is just my opinion, I’m glad that Melissa isn’t a magician/saintess/healer who acts as a support in battle, but a swordswoman. I love it. And her relationship with Nine is just perfect. I did wish for a more cruel ending for the fish tainting the air around her and the OgFL, Yuri (who’s a sweetheart and likely has yuri feelings for Melissa, get it), because I’m just sadistic like that.

I also love how Melissa’s appearance isn’t beautiful in terms of fitting the beauty standards for most of the FLs in a lot of these isekai manwhas, with their light colored hair and sparkly dresses. At this point, light colored hair and sparkly dresses hurt my eyes. No joke.

Another Typical Fantasy Romance - not physically strong, but I love how the FL is actually rational. I mean you have lots of Korean isekais of older women becoming young girls or even babies. They’re supposed to be mentally older and wise, but they’re very naïve. ML is a unique bearded himbo, and those two relationship harmoniously complements each other. I hope her obsessive stalker crown prince gets a cruel ending because I’m just sadistic like that.

Kill the Villainess - It’s a unique Korean manhwa because 1) FL’s hatred for everyone continues till the end, 2) I love how she’s black-haired, because most FLs are pink-haired, red-haired, blonde, silver/white haired, 3) she actually goes back to her original world, 4) a commoner knight is ML (#protectcommonerknightMLs), and 5) commoner knight ML goes to FL’s original world (baller move, I must say). FL isn’t physically strong, but she is mentally and emotionally strong since she’s in a toxic environment and doesn’t change her goal to go back home. It can get a bit confusing with witches thing, but overall a nice read.

I did wish she slapped back her ex-fiance crown prince stinky diarrhea head (and have crueler endings for the garbage men because I’m just sadistic like that).

I’m A Martial Art Villainess, But I’m the Strongest! - Panda1030 recommended this to me, and I gave it a try, but HOLY SHIT THIS IS GOOD!!!!! HOW DID I OVERLOOK THIS!?!?!?!?!?!?! The FL is physically and mentally strong. The story is actually about an FL’s path to being strong. It's like those new Korean manhwas and Chinese manhuas where the ML is getting stronger (who's already strong but he just picking up women because women=status #fuckharemstories). She’s never stronger than the ML, nor weaker. I don’t like MLs being princes, whether they’re legitimate, illegitimate, hidden, unaware of their identity, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 13th or whatever, but I’ll let this one go, since the ML is adorable. Definitely recommend.

HOW TO LIVE AT THE MAX LEVEL – I found this gemstone because I was bored. I love this manhwa, mainly because it is somewhat similar to the FL in “I’m A Martial Art Villainess, But I’m the Strongest!” where she is physically strong, but I love how she swears a lot and wears suits and dresses (so it’s a good representation of women who aren’t always dolled up and like to be casual or dressed up nicely depending on how they feel). So refreshing from the sparkly dress wearing, forgiving FLs. Homegirl beats up an angel whose god of the world forced her into their world to “save” it, because they basically kidnapped her without her consent (I mean, she isn’t wrong).

The FL in the manhwa is forced into an MMORPG game world which she plays and is the strongest cuz she grinded a lot. I like to compare this to “I’m not the Final boss’s lover”. “I’m not the Final boss’s lover” is also an isekai where the FL is in a game, but she’s a support character so she isn't OP and has a boss. But in this manhwa, FL is the boss!!

Not to mention, most of the manhwa about FLs transmigrating to the game they play is mostly dating sims! Coughcough Death is the only ending of a villainess coughcough. Like, excuse me, women can play MMORPG and other types of games that aren’t dating sims (I don’t even like dating sims. Way too slow). As a Genshin Impact and Honkai star rail player (and someone who tends to swear a lot), I love this~.

Marry my husband (Manhwa version only)– Not sure if you’d like this, but, for some reason, I like it out of most of the modern reincarnation stories. I don’t find the FL annoying. While she isn’t dumb and forgiving, and she can a bit scheming though most the revenge happens because the people she wants vengeance against are jackasses who fall into a pit of their own malice, she isn’t as ruthless (because I’m sadistic like that). I think I like the story about the FL’s past and future just seem to well-written (again, in my opinion).

Also, I only mean for the manhwa adaptation. I realized that there's a webnovel and now a k-drama. And ppl can shit on the manhwa all they want, but I love the manhwa version because less drama, more pain, and ML looking like an uncomplicated green flag in the manhwa. Sue me.

I like the ML too, despite being from a Chaebol family, he worked hard and even started his own company. I usually don’t like MLs who 1) are in the CEO cliché and 2) regret not telling the FL they liked them in the first timeline. But this ML, in my opinion, is pretty good. I love how the ML also remembers the past since that is very, very rare. He is kind and tries to be understanding to the FL since he remembers the first timeline (wished he kept the glasses tho). I love his loyalty and how dedicated he is as a husband and father. He also has a stepmother and a half-sister who also genuinely loves him and the FL, which, again, is very, very rare. There are no stupid, dragged-on miscommunication/misunderstanding clichés, which I applaud. Again, ONLY in the manhwa. Not so much in the webnovel and kdrama apparently. There was one short misunderstanding where FL thought the half-sister was his gf, but he clarified it immediately. If you’ve got nothing to read, why not give this try? I repeat. Manhwa.

Scream Queen – This is Chinese, but, surprisingly enough, the story is my cup of tea. And I'm sure you'll love it too. The FL is a rich and brazen young woman, and I love it. If she doesn’t like someone, she isn’t going to hide it. Nor is she forgiving. Like actually isn’t forgiving. For example, in the first arc, she beats up a wife beater while everyone tried to ignore it. Her brazen, confident and strong headed personality eventually garners people’s respect, and she isn’t even trying to be a people pleaser. The art isn’t bad, but you may or may not like it but, trust me, the FL is sooo refreshing, and I think you’ll like her. It’s a story that adds elements of horror, but it’s not terrifying since the FL isn’t scared (so, by default, neither are we as the readers).

Cheating men must die – The story is interesting…. In the beginning… but it kinda gets tedious and complicated after the arc with her battle with another agent with a different system. I am interested in the female MC’s past with some mysterious guy who saved her, but I’ll just read about that from the spoiler’s forum first.

Bad exorcist Reina – This is Japanese and not a rom-com, but I love the female MC, Reina, because she’s dirty-mouthed, strong and just. She’s like a female version of those shounen heroes, in my opinion. I think this manga is also refreshing since I’m seeing a lot of translated Japanese manga being mostly about males of every kind and occupation isekaing to a fantasy world and most likely getting a harem, males being weak but also become strong from whatever they’re doing, females isekaing to alternate European aristocracy as a villainess (A LOT) and smut (not even the good kind). I remember when shoujo manga about modern high school girls’ romance was popular, and I was sick of it … but now I low key miss that because I don’t see it as much. Now… it’s just isekaied villainesses in alternate European aristocratic academies.

God bless whoever is translating this manga, because I need this like I need caffeine during my sleep-deprived days. That and Kakegurui (but Kakegurui updates are slow).

Kakegurui – Did I mention Kakegurui? Not a rom-com, but I love all the characters, especially the females, in the manga because of how unique they are.

Her Majesty’s Swarm – Also Japanese and not a rom-com, but also kind of interesting. Female MC transmigrates in a game world she often played as the queen of a bunch of spiders. Too bad updates are kinda slow.

I’m an opportunistic princess solving complex problems = The FL might not be your cup of tea (she is, personally, relatable to me in some aspects)….. But Clifford, the ML, is my cup of tea!!!! At this point, I’m just a cult leader trying to spread the message of Clifford as ultimate ML I need in my life, because I’m a simp. But once you go Clifford, you can never go back… (or you can, but I can’t. It’s too late for me, and I regret nothing).

    EDIT: I forgot to mention
Love Advice from the Great Duke of Hell = Hear me out! This is hilarious! As hilarious as Bad exorcist Reina. It is supposed to have romance (hence the titled love advice), but it's more comedic than anything. The female characters are really funny and strong, especially the male protagonist's sister. Give it try! It'll cleanse your palate, especially if you've been reading nothing but shitty manhwas and manhuas with the same trope of scum MLs or bare-minimum MLs and unrealistically naive and weak FLs, and now no longer believe in the world. This is gonna make you laugh (not sure about hope, but definitely laugh).

    EDIT EDIT:
HOW COULD I HAVE OVER LOOKED THIS GEM!
Kingdom of the Queen - This Korean manhwa is about four girls go through various trials to become the Queen in a patriarchal kingdom. There's no ML so no romance (I wish it was Yuri because I ship the knightly girl with mature girl). It's a great manhwa because it has great representation of various women, from feminine to masculine to in-between (because there's fluidity). AND there's also actual girl power and female unification who are trying to work around the restrictive patriarchal structures. It's amazingly written as it looks at various issues women go through.

    EDIT EDIT EDIT:
Sigh. At this point, I'm just gonna keep updating this post.
MY HUSBAND ASCENDED AS THE CHOSEN ONE = Another unique gemstone that I overlooked and re-reading. The FL here isn't your typical verbal or physical fighter. She's a tough single mom from the countryside, so she's a commoner. She wants nothing to do with her husband but stays only because it might benefit her son. But as soon as she realizes he's a lying piece of shit, she does whatever she can to get a divorce. She isn't soft or tHe beAUTiFuL WomAN iN tHE whOle kINgdom. She doesn't blush easily and care more about her son and herself than the ML trying to court her. It's a story about a woman in a world where single women who try to be independent are ousted. It's much worse if you're a commoner, but there are rich women who also deal with problematic, or rather neglectful, husbands. What I love is her son. Usually, when you have an FL's child, they're so annoying that they try to pair their mom back with the abusive husband/ML who they left (looking at you in particular, Remarriage Contract), or they're a sUPer smARt hACkeR despite being four and yet somehow not in school (looking at you in particular, chinese manhuas). He's an actual kid, but he hates his dad and loves his mom, so there's no forced union. Another best aspect is that the ML actually spends time with the son as much as he does with the FL. It's like I'm watching a father and son before he even married her (since she doesn't easily accept his feelings). I also like his mom. She isn't drawn as a gorgeous woman despite being so old, but an actually old woman who's really cool. Not to mention, the story doesn't drag and is paced well enough because the FL doesn't waste time. She doesn't give a damn about etiquette and isn't naïve, but is basically the type who gives respect when respected. Definitely a good read.

EDIT which I lost count of (don't judge me):

Gedou O ◯Rosu Series - It's short and ongoing. It's not romance... actually I don't know how to explain the genre.... Basically you know those overused and problematic tropes readers typically hate (lesbiophobia, and S.A.)? Well, the author has an insert character, a Knight, who just comes and kills all these rapist men targeting women. The manga's alternate titles include "Heretic Slayer Knight Series; The Knight Who Murders Yuri Ruiners; The Knight who Murders Fuckboy Heretics;" and so on.
It's short, fun to read, cathartic as hell. My only issue... it's too short and ongoing. Trust me. This is gonna cleanse your palate, especially if you read a distasteful manga. WARNING THOUGH, it may be NSFW because of the art. Like, hentai art for the female victims to Dark Souls Knight who secretly saves them from the rapists. Especially chapter 5.5, which I suggest you ignore because there's no "take my sword up ur ass, you heretic" scene from the Knight.

The Kitchen Goddess and the Assassin - I think I've read this about three time already, because that's how good this manhwa was. This is surprisingly a Chinese manhwa, but it's so damn good!!! I mean it! The FL is funny, like actually funny, but also street smart, passionate in cooking, and isn't super naive, super beautiful, or a Mary Sue. She's a short, brown-haired commoner girl who is apt in cooking like her dad, and just reading her so refreshing because it's like reading an actual person without the extra drama. There is drama... well more like mystery, it's hella interesting. The art itself is damn gorgeous in my opinion. And by that, I mean, that 1) the art isn't a cheaply made like most Chinese manhwas arts that render real life stock images, rigid postures and facial expressions, overuse of the SFX that explain what the character is going through, and copy-pasting mob characters. If you've read enough Chinese manhwas (hell, even some Korean manhuas), you know exactly that I'm talking about. 2) The art is gorgeous for this manhwa because it suit the style of the manhwa. Earlier in the chapters, a lot of bright colors are used which fits the theme, since it's really funny at the beginning until you get into the mystery into later chapters. Be warned, though, you will get hungry if you read this, lol. I know I did. This is basically a cooking manhwa, and this leads to my 3) point of what I love about the art, is that artists actually drew the food, and it looks mouth watering good! I always crave sweet and spicy cheese tteokbokki when I look at the food in this manhwa (before you bash me that the manhwa shows Chinese food and I'm talking about Korean food, it's because I had tteokbokki when I read this manhwa and the association kinda stuck there).
And I need to add the ML is also a refreshing character compared to the magnitude of alpha CEO tyrannical need-fucking-therapy MLs in a majority of these Chinese manhwas. What I appreciate is how he, albeit an assassin for hire, was already a good man before meeting the FL. For example, even before meeting the FL, there's a poor village he often gives free food and medicine too. Only one family takes his kindness but the rest of the village shun him because he's an assassin, and it doesn't help that he's bad at being social. Also, I don't think that FL was trying to be a Mary Sue and lead him to the flowery path of the righteous. She was just scared of him at first, which is reasonable because of his profession, although he has never intimidated her once since they met, but she quickly aceepts him as a good guy and they reestablish their relationship as her being his chef. Which is also a plus. There's no dragged plot, no court drama (though it does include a king), no frustrating miscommunication, or third wheelers. It's more funny than romantic, but I still like it because the leads' relationship is very healthy, compared to the so-called romantic plots these day. Both the artist and the translator did a fantastic job.
It is completed..... though, and this is something that irks me too, the ending might be disappointing. Now don't worry about the ending. They do end up together, but I can't help but feel like it ended abruptly, despite a well written plot. This is a manhwa that NEEDS side stories. But I still give this a recommendation.

The Princess Doesn't Want to be Spoiled = Another gem I randomly found! Honestly, I had no expectations because when I see the word where the FL is supposed to be “spoiled” or “pampered”, it ends up being a frustrating torture porn. But I gave it a change it’s the first where an FL won’t be spoiled, lol, ANDDDD I was bored.
And I AM SO GLAD I WAS BORED AND READ THIS! To think I was gonna skip it.
The FL is sort of unique in the sense where, while the narration goes on that she’s spoiled and the most beautiful person in the kingdom, it’s not her fault. It’s her mom’s, who spoiled her to so much that it’s negatively affected because the FL is naïve and way too innocent (and also because the FL was once kidnapped as a kid which basically traumatized her). HOWEVER, I expected the FL to be really arrogant, but she’s not. She is, however, somewhat aware that, because of her being spoiled by her mother and her servants growing, she’s essentially useless. And so, which is something what I also love about her, is that she’s determined to learn to be practical and useless. And by that mean… context… so her mom is a Duchess, and the Queen kinda threatens her with some mysterious past promise that she needs to keep now, which is basically to start a coup against the current CP. Mom expects she’ll die, so she sends her daughter to the ML with no explanation. And the FL, though, confused, goes with the flow. So when the ML wanted her to learn hunting, she goes with the flow and tries to learn. Some commenters have considered that she may be mentally challenged because of how much her mom spoiled her, but I also think she’s someone who goes with the flow. Hell, one of the ML’s subordinate stated that she adapted very quickly after the FL reflexively hit a bandit who was about to attack her and the subordinate. Think of her someone who also notices a butterfly flying and forgets everything else, lol. Overall, very unique.
As for the ML, I also like him. Like the pre-biased expectations I had of the FL, I also expected the ML to be the cOLd dUKe oF tHE NOrTh. But, our boy is a commoner who built his own private army from the ground up without any ties to the royal family. There are some bad rumors about him as a typical war-mongerer, which both we, the readers, and the FL, are introduced to, so we think he’s one of the types of MLs. What I loved about this guy was, right from the start, he didn’t have these stereotypes of her because she was a Duchess’ daughter. Even when he heard to how spoiled the FL was, he didn’t think much of it, until he heard from the FL’s mom that she was a picky eater so she wastes food, and the ML kinda snapped because he hates people wasting food lol. Honestly, that’s relatable. Yet, he treated her both equally and respectfully. I actually thought he’d be like Riftan from Under the Oak tree (please don’t come after me), where he was would be like “tch. Noblewomen this, noblewomen that. So spoiled.” What made this ML a hit for me was, when the FL was opening up about feeling useless because of how spoiled she was, she opened up about how she sort of envied the ML and his subordinates because they all went through a different upbringing that led them to be strong and useful. But he immediately comforted that she shouldn’t be ashamed of having a good upbringing, as he and his subordinates had a rough upbringing. That was honestly so refreshing to hear! Like, finally, an ML who doesn’t trash talk an FL just because she was born privileged!
I think both the ML and FL match in the sense that they both go with the flow and are quiet, though the FL was more so than the ML.
Another thing about this guy is, while he wanted to be a bit strict on (with the FL’s mom’s blessing of course, lol, because she knows she screwed up), he himself fails to adhere to his strictness. For example, the ML and FL go on a hunt (because she was being picky about food again, so he forced to go on a hunt so that she learns that it’s not easy to get food), and to slid down a small hill. FL obviously can’t, so the ML picked her up and slid down. He initially thought she’d be scared but she enjoyed so much so she asked him to go again. And, lol, the strict ML slid down the hill again SEVEN TIMES. Man was unknowingly spoiling her too lol. ML himself, despite supposedly being the scary type ML, is so funny. For example, what caught me off guard was a scene where, after the hunt scene, FL and ML’s subordinates were eating some good food from her catch. The ML comes across the scene of the FL and his subordinates laughing and enjoying themselves. I initially thought he would be happy to see such a merry scene, especially as he recalled the horrible past of his subordinates, but he was actually jealous at being left out, because, while they got along with the FL, it took THREE YEARS to trust the ML fully lol!!!
This manhwa is so funny. It keeps turning my expectations. There aren’t many romantic moments since still short and ongoing.
The art is quality and gorgeous that I almost had to heck if I was reading a Korean manhwa.
And I also need to point out that I love ML’s subordinates. Again, like the ML and FL, I had biased expectations of them as well. After Under the Oak Tree and Marriage of Convenience, I thought they would also be the typical “ugh. Noblewomen this, noblewomen that. She’s gonna slow us down. She’s bothering our leaders. Look! She’s out in an expensive dress! She’s so spoiled!” BUTTTT AGAIN, my expectations were smashed because all of them were so sweet and understanding of her right from the start. The way they all got along instantly was refreshing. Like, because the FL is a picky eater, they had a cooking contest, which also turned to a cooking contest lol. They bring her down because she was a noblewoman as they were all commoners, but also didn’t baby her as they turned her pickiness into something fun for all. There was a “rival” for the FL who was pining for the ML, and I use quotes because it gets resolved quickly. She tried to exhaust the FL with tasks, but the FL was so bad at it, that “rival” chick had to all the work or else so much stuff would break, and they would be in a financial crisis. “rival” quickly stopped her shenanigans because it was exhausting for her now, and the FL liking her also made her blush. Honestly, I’m pretty sure she’s gonna end up with ML’s blonde right hand man.

There's a rat in our house - WARNING. THIS IS SMUT! But it's good smut! Usually a lot of Korean smut is distasteful with abusive and/or slutty MLs added to show a "sexy ML" and painful and BDSM-like sex to show "passionate sex", with virgin FLs who are so pure and naive and blah blah blah. "There's a rat in our house" is nothing like that. Honestly, I had not expectations when I read this. However, I was surprised to find that it was a top FL x bottom ML! You will love the FL! Her personality is so cool and mature, and you can think of her as a female version of an ML, no joke. ML is like a male version of an FL, as he's been sexually abused and if forced to sell his body to find a place to sleep, until the FL saved him and taught him about consent, as he initially thought she would also use his body. However, FL, being the top, was very passionate with him when they did do it, and I think he found comfort in that. I kid you not, the sex scenes initiated by the FL ARE HOT AS HELL! LIKE DAMN!
ML's beauty is more feminine, I guess? It's difficult to describe. But he is very much traumatized because of his past experiences so he clings to FL obsessively because she's the first to treat him like a human being. He's very anxious and stressed that she might throw him away because she has a great job, talent, good co-workers, friends and family and can live without him, but he can't live without her. It's honestly heartbreaking, because he's either physically and/or sexually abused by both and women, excluding the FL. Like he needs therapy, and not because he's a problem for the people around him, but because his anxiety is a problem himself.

The way of the househusband - You might have already heard of this. It's a Japanese manga with an anime (and live-action) adaptation. It's not romance, rather it's a comedy and slice of life. HOWEVER, I love how this manga subverts gender stereotypes and gender myths, particularly with the main character Tatsumi, who's ex-Yakuza but now a dedicated and loving househusband. So Tatsumi subverts hegemonic and toxic masculinity without his masculinity being stripped away from him. He's a man who loves his wife and takes care of his house, and I love him so much for representing that. And just as good as him is his wife, Miku. Miku, like Tatsumi subverts gender stereotypes, as she's a career-oriented woman who's the sole breadwinner, and is as strong as (or more strong than) Tatsumi, because there was one scene where she literally carried a wounded Tatsumi (I think when they first met). So she and Tatsumi complement each other so much with their similarities and differences which makes them one of the most harmonious couple to read.

Appleseed - I initially didn't add this, but it does have an original Japanese manga that spanned some movies and an anime (and the soundtrack of those media is just *chef's kiss*). It's an oldie, and it mainly addresses political, sociological and philosophical elements. However, the main characters, Deunan and Briaroes, are both e-swat partners and lovers. Despite that, romance isn't exactly emphasized, as much as the action and political issues (I mean Appleseed isn't a rom-com), but you can clearly see that they are one of the most healthiest couples. The fight alongside each other equally.
Deunan is a very unique female lead as she also subverts gender stereotypes. She has short hair, is brash and comparative, considered "tomboyish", but is also kind, emotionally vulnerable, loving and can occasionally wear fashionable outfits and dresses. On another note, Briaroes is a cyborg. Like a full-armoured cyborg. So he wouldn't fit in the generic ML physical beauty standard, so Deunan's love for him is even more genuine, as she's not talking about his looks all the time. Like Deunan, he's also a great fighter, but he's more mature and wise, although he also has his flaws and plenty of emotions, which makes him so human. I love how their relationship doesn't fit into standard beauty or generic romantic cliches. And Briaroes, despite being a cyborg with no human face, is so human, empathetic, understanding and openly romantic.
And well.... I'd also like to add that their relationship goes beyond. And by that I mean, that apparently..... Briaroes doesn't have genitals. However, that doesn't stop the couple's love for one another, and Briaroes doesn't push her away because of this (although he does want the best for her, especially a better life, and in some media he does show some insecurity about being a cyborg). So their love isn't sexual, and goes beyond with harmony, purity, genuineness, understanding, and a shared experience. However, while it's not an explicit story, there is something implied.... in the Appleseed α manga. And I loved it~~~.

G.I. Joe original comic (Scarlett x Snake eyes) - .......Here me out. This was written by a Japanese-American, so it counts! And if it doesn't, I'm counting it in! Unlike the Appleseed series, this is a classical American comic. But, Like Appleseed, it's also an oldie, is an action comic, and the couple Scarlett x Snake Eyes are also very healthy. There are various media regarding relationships, and the animated cartoons and shitty movies just completely cut their relationship out (except for Renegade I guess, since it is implied), which is absolute bullshit. I read the original G.I. Joe comic and Scarlett is important in the identity of Snake Eyes, and vice versa. Just like Deunan and Briareos, Scarlett and Snake Eyes also complement each other so much!!! They're like a power couple, and fight alongside each other equally. Scarlett both greatly smart and strong (she literally carried Snake Eyes, during a mission when he was injured while fighting enemies!!!), but also emotional, caring and patient. She isn't a one-dimensional female character. She has saved Snakes and, likewise, Snake Eyes has saved her. Snake Eyes also doesn't fit into the standard ML physical beauty as he's horrible burned so he wears a mask all the time, so, again, Scarlett's love for him is very genuine. And despite being super strong, he's also very openly affectionate and sweet with her. Which is why I hate the movies. They have blotched Snake Eye's personality of simply being a muscle man for the team with a lack of substance apart from his past without looking into his present and future, and his stand-alone Snake Eyes movie was absolute shit.
Depending on which comic adaptation of the original you're reading, there is some drama around their relationship, which quickly gets resolved.
I suggest reading the original G.I. Joe comic if you have and are bored, and you'll get what I mean. There's also some G.I. Joe x Transformer crossover comics, which I would also suggest, as it also portrays their relationship, and shows Snake Eyes crushing on Scarlett more.

Ml did not love the brother's wife. The brother's wife is delusional and she thinks he has a crush on her. But that's not it at all. After the brother died, the people told him to marry her but he didn't want to because of his brother. And in their race, the woman they have intercourse with commonly bleeds out and die or they die in childbirth. Since the brothers wife survived, they told him to marry her.

When he fell in love with fl, he was afraid of having intercourse with her because she might die. She was really skinny and weak so he was so scared. And he loved the fl so much he said he will go crazy if he ever loses her. I hate MLs that sleep with another woman, (I'm not sure this happened, but I saw some spoilers saying he did that) but in this case, he was paranoid of losing her. He was the last heir and needed to continue his bloodline so in a way he was using garret (idk how to spell her name) to continue the bloodline so that fl can live.

But honestly, he's a bad ml in my opinion. He kept keeping things from her and causing unnecessary misunderstanding. He knew fl had a bad childhood and a low self esteem yet he didn't take in consideration how his actions would affect her mentally. But yeah, the main misunderstanding a lot of the people have is thinking he loved the brother's wife. Which is not true.

Hakkan doesn't love Garret, he was just having inferiority complex of his brother because his mom always treat him like the dependable son (Even though in reality, the mom did that because she was being overprotected of Hakkan as the youngest son so she put more responsibility on the older son, not because she favored her oldest).

Because of his inferiority complex, he always fantasize about being in his brother position. Having his throne, his followers and also his woman (Garret).

Ugh, and he had been so kind with the FL! I hate whenever a ML thinks the FL will stay with him after he “solves everything,” and by solving everything he somehow thinks that means to work on his own without ever telling her and cheating on her. Like, because you never told her the plan or got her consent, of course she’s going to resent you for what you’ve done… not to mention the OW had been the cause of their miscarriage??? I don’t care what his plan is, why would he be willing to sleep with the woman who killed his child “to solve things”??? I’m the kind of reader who usually tolerates red flags and toxic MLs, but this is even something I can’t bring myself to like. I hate whenever this happens. One of my biggest pet peeves in romances. I’m sick of it. I don’t mind cheating when there is actually a good reason for it or it happened in the very beginning before we really knew the characters and there is groveling involved as the ML tries to get back with the FL but whenever it happens in the middle or end of a story after a solid relationship has been formed between the ML and FL for a super ridiculous unnecessary reason, it is just for drama and “angst” factor.

I was reading this story because I love dragons. The ML is hot, and he seemed really kind at first. I thought it was going to be about a power couple. Now I’m disappointed that’s not the case at all. Maybe the manhwa will change that part but who knows if that will even happen. Such a loss. It had so much potential. The cheating and miscommunication completely ruins it. I may still read the comic but only after all the episodes are out and free.

It has been explained in detail a few pages ago that ML has never slept with his brother’s wife and his plan going to her room wasn’t to sleep with her, but to kill her for all her sins. As far as she had a lot of people in the castle supporting and guarding her, ML needed to pretend to be interested in her to get a chance to finish her off while they are alone and no one can help her.

It doesn’t justify that ML has never communicated his plan to MC, he’s an AH for breaking her heart like that, but I have noticed that it’s quite a common trope in k-novels and it’s very hard to find stories without such twists. It’s probably something desired in their patriarchal society when a rich handsome unemotional man solves the problems of a weak poor clueless girl without giving her any details of his plan (not to burden her weak heart of course) and severely hurting her emotionally and sometimes physically in the process, but all this for her own good of course. Because a rich handsome man knows better what a weak girl needs. And then when she’s hurt and broken to gain her forgiveness he mentally turns into a puppy out of nowhere and he behaves out of character with her being all caring, attentive and overly affectionate, but still is cold and harsh with everyone else.

:blobimfine: I think it’s just the trope. It’s like asking why some men like are bronies or like milfs. The day there’s a solid answer is the day miracles happen.
