The first physical touch was challenging for both, they were filled with unfamiliar feelings. Also, have you noticed that Layla didn't feel awkward when Matthias touched her lips, even though she had problem with physical contacts due to her past traumas?

This scene show indeed very well how they are more sincerely with their eyes. Attraction sparkle everywhere!!! Matthias gentle touch... And Layla in daze.

Today's chapter is BOMB!

The sexual tension between them, the gaze, the touch. Everything is perfect!
My favourite part is the entranced look of Layla. She couldn't breath for a moment, and there was this narrative:

"Forgetting even her urge to escape, Layla remained frozen stiff, enduring his gaze and his touch. When she was about to cry over his strange, incomprehensible behavior, he slowly closed his eyes.”

And Layla was disappointed to see the aloof gaze in Matthias eyes. For her, it reminded her of the coin scene which is the look of 'nothing'. She was disappointed that she was the only one feeling entranced, yet Matthias seems to be indifferent.

However, eventhough she tried to deny her feelings. it was too late. Her feeling grew deeper as the feeling on her lips lingered.

“She kept rinsing her face until her skin was burning, but she couldn’t get rid of the strange sensation that still lingered on her lips.”

Strange sensation = her feeling for Matthias that grow deeper.

What a beautiful chapter!

Hello! Yes absolutely. Matt is her first and last love. The same for Matt. Layla is his first and last love.

Their first child is Felix that is actually taken from Matt's Grandpa name. A proof that Matt wanted to make their son as the next duke of Herhardt. Their second one is a daughter

Matt gave the son's name, Felix, even before he knew if he would come back alive or not from the war. I think this shows how he see Layla in his life

 

Van J is a talented artist! Now I know why she needed that extra week.
