I'll take a stab at this. In a nutshell- Our MC is taking care of her sickly stepmother when a lawyer shows up. "Hey, your grandmother died and left you an old mansion. The catch is that nobody can ever go inside. You'll get a regular paycheck if you keep people out." MC accepts and starts a business. Stepmother steals MC's money and runs. Annoying documentary people want to film in/around inherited mansion. MC turns them down so they break in. Police visit her "Someone broke into your property. One of them is dead, four are hurt." One of the survivors tells her that six people went into the mansion. Someone is still missing. The name Troll and the cover art imply someone eats people. Literally or metaphorically. Does that make more sense?
