I really like the direction the chapters are taking at the moment. We have an Eiser who struggles to talk about his problems but supports Serena in her quest to learn more about herself, advising her to turn more towards Clovis. The chapter seems to reveal a painful past and a ruthless family on the father's side. What I'm most excited about is Serena's reaction after hearing Eiser's story – will she be sad, shocked, will she cry? Will she be a support in Eiser's plans? I'm really looking forward to discovering all these aspects and especially the continuation of the story. Is his little brother alive? We know his mother is dead (due to suicide). The next chapters are going to be truly great.
Dangg I called it! The house is Eiser’s childhood house w his mom and dad is the psycho one! Serena is gonna learn so much from this home and i hope she learn to treasure it just like he does and they turn it into their special place secret snu house? lmao The direction of this chapter was truly chef’s kiss and a testament to how great of a storyteller and character builder author is! It was soo satisfying to watch how proactive Serena is while fully admiting that Eiser is her number 1 focus right now. Eiser again got reminded of how different Serena is wanting to join hand with him VS a Dia who would side with the enemy. She truly is the one for him and he fully realize this now!!! I have full trust in however author plan out Serena’s reaction to the full backstory!! No doubt it will bring them closer and I want it to continue to stay true to their character!!! And Serena popping out behind Eiser in a simple white dress to greet Lovis was such a cute scene. They are evolving as a couple in front of a third party now, and I Absolutely Love that they are still at this house truly acting like a simple loving couple. Author, once we’re done w backstory Don’t Let Them Leave Until That SNUUU!!!
i think after she learn what he went through, she is gonna hug him maybe they even cry together and i also feel they're gonna have snu snu before they go back to the mansion.
I'm glad that Eiser somehow broke through and told Selena a little about himself. Eiser is known to be handsome, but as a little boy he is adorable. I hope that after Serena learns Eiser's story, we will see some cute or romantic scene between them. And the fact that he keeps thinking about his kiss with Serena, woah... But Duncan Grayan is terrible. I wonder what Victor's relationship with his father was like. Does Victor have something to blame his mother for spending more time with Eiser? After all, he hates Eiser, so something must have happened between them. Do you think Papa Grayan is dead? In the note at the end of the chapter it is written that Victor is the head of the family. What do you think?
I think it was very realistic that Eiser did not tell Serena a very detailed and deep story about his family. Very in character I thought. The fact that he did divulge pretty big personal things was what I was waiting for. Step by step. The fact that he told her to ask Lovis just shows that he wants her to know the truth from someone he trust. He just can’t bring himself to talk about it possibly due to trauma too. To me it seems like his father pit the brothers against each other. I’ve read about family dynamics like that between siblings that isn’t physical abuse but psychologically abuse. Probably Victor due to being heir and spending all his time with the dad can’t have been good. Probably lots of abuse. Whereas Eiser was the spare and doted on by mom and lived freely and loved up until 12. I would think Victor would have huge resentment about that. From what we have seen, Victor doesn’t seem to be the smarter of the two brothers and more emotional. I think dad realized Eiser is more intelligent and logical than Victor so wanted to have him replace Victor as heir. Of course that would have blown up. I still think Victor is horrible and not redeemable but my guess is everyone is a mess due to deadbeat father.
100%! Making Eiser telling the full story at their current state would be kinda OOC so the direction of Lovis was very smart. I hope after Lovis, Serena and Eiser also discover more of his story through the surroundings aka pick up clues from the homes or by hanging out with the people around the area which should help Eiser to open up. This is my favorite thing to read about Serena and Eiser’s dynamic. Their love language is more actions less spoken words. That may change bit by bit but both of them are good at reading between the lines to understand each other more which makes me appreciate a lot of the silent cues in their relationship! If author is consistent with this direction, I don’t think we will have an explosive reaction from S or E after the backstory arc but just them naturally become more intimate both with or without spectators, which is already a big win. About Victor, its clear there was a lot of jealousy towards Eiser. He clearly didnt love Dialulu but only took her because she was with E and its hinted he will do the same w S by implying that he enjoys “breaking all the birds” that E cherishes. My guess is he grew up wanting the mother’s love that E has but had to stick w dad and grown extremely jealous of all the more normal things that E has. Nobody is born straight evil, the cause was clearly the psycho dad. It would really be interesting if author decide to write that E and V used to have a close-knitted period before they grew apart. V doesnt need to be redeemed but at least knowing he had a good period w E is good enough for storytelling.
It’s great that it’s not drawn out either that she gets the story from Lovis. Literally “call Lovis” and next panel he’s here. I do not mind a slow burn but I’d rather the story pick up the pace a bit at this point. Also when the character Dia was introduced I was thinking it’s going to be an angst love triangle. But I’ve been pleasantly surprised. In all the times that matter, he’s chosen Serena and agrees with her actions. At least from what I’ve seen. He’s also quite directly said things to Dia to make it clear than she can pine for him but he’s not going back. I would have been really frustrated if he’s still hung up on her. Showing up to the gallery opening to support Serena showed his desire to protect Serena outweighs his distaste for Dia. Threatening Dia in order to find Serena during the kidnapping makes it very clear who he sides with and will never go back to Dia. For that I’ll overlook the fact that he lost his cool when he smelled drugs on Dia and dragged her away. I especially like that he realized Serena is a partner that will chose to work with him and communicate with him instead of making her own plans by betraying and saying that she did it for him like Dia. I like that dynamic about the main couple. They actually are more aligned and alike than I ever thought when first reading the story.
Will Eiser end up shooting his own brother down the line to protect Serena and does anyone know what Eiser promised Iansa to marry Serena.
Seeing Eiser embarrassed and Serena saying "I will do whatever i want" felt like Serena saying – you are mine Eiser and you can do nothing about it. So excited and waiting to see Serena loving, pampering and obsessing over Eiser Our boy needs some warmth in his life
How do you guys think the season is going to end? I think the last chapter will end with Eiser's backstory to keep us on our toes with happens next at the lake house.
I think the season will end with serena knows the truth bout eiser's past. After knowing bout his past, Serena will comfort him. And maybe there'll be some kind of introduction to a new arc that'll lead us to season 2. I'm still not ready for the last chapter of this first season though. I've been waiting for friday to come every week since i read serena OML
