Does anyone know how did they got separsted and each thought the other abandoned them?
My theory is that upon returning to the palace - the mother mentioned to tbe MC that the prince doesn't want to see her more. As to the ML he was told that the MC left after receiving recompenses.

I think, if they give recompenses to MC,then i won't be angry even if the cause of them not seeing each other for 13 years is the mother. It would be logical for her to be disgusted by witches and not want any such being to be any closer to her last family member.

From the new chapter, it sounds like the black haired adult is the high priest? He looks so much like the ML and our MC looks so much like the dude on the painting idk what Hortensia (or something like that)

Yeah. Saw the chapter after that. At the very least, that reveal as well as making the MC an elementalist title over witch is most likely going to make shipping acceptable worldbuilding wise

 

Yeah for the time being, it should be good for her and later on as the story progresses and they discover that she is in fact the Pope's niece, it will make her even higher ranked so definitely no problem over this. The one issue though is the fact that Daisy might probably the 'Hope' that Selena currently is the candidate of and from what it was said, if you are the 'Hope', you are consumed by the 'calamity' so I guess the main battle will be between the 'Hope' and the 'Calamity'? (Also can I ask you the sauce of your pp please? )

Spoiler: engagement

So I will continue from where the manhwa currently is.

-We have a time skip of one year. The ML is gonna meet up with the girl who looks like Daisy and he is suspicious over his Mother because she is teasing him a lot and talking about this girl a lot.
-It's actually exactly one year after he met with the girl at the ball
-During this year, he has sent a lot of presents to her(?) and kept on meeting with her. (mtl part where he says he didn't send her gifts voluntarily: "So were the gifts. Dionel had never voluntarily sent her a gift. Rosépin was only the candidate for the imperial fiancé, and not yet. Rosépin, however, would pretend to be her fiancé anytime, anywhere. The necklace Ilancia had spoken to was something that Rosépin had secretly hung up on him and notified him by letter."
-She thinks that he fell in love with her at first sight but he never told her that he liked her (but also never told her he didn't while acting so kind towards -he only sees Daisy through her-)
-He sees Daisy growing in her. Because he isn't able to imagine Daisy grown up, he tries to see her in the girl as she looks like Daisy.
-During the 'date', he questions her and she said that she received his engagement letter and he is livid asking her if she has sent a reply to it and she said that she wanted to live this fleeting feeling for a bit more so she hasn't yet. His Mother sent it to the girl without consulting him because she thought it would make him happy. And then he thinks that 'if even she thinks that he wants to get engaged to her, waht if rumours go far and wide and Daisy hears of it?' He gets scared and break it off with the Lady saying that he never liked her and he didn't even thought of them dating. They never said that they were dating, the girl only assumed it. She doesn't understand and thinks that he is acting like this to surprise her with an engagement surprise but he is adamant with his no love and starts to become cold. But once the girl starts to cry, he sees Daisy again and rubs her hair (which is what she is used to: kind Dionel) but he keeps on saying that he doesn't want to get engaged to her and goes back home.
-He goes to see his Mother asap to tell her that he doesn't want to get engaged to the girl. The Mother is dumbfounded and thinks that she never understood her son.
-He says that the rumours about him being a Cursed Prince has stopped so this whole thing at least brought him some power and he isn't viewed badly anymore.
-It's too late though because just before he came, an urgent letter from the father of the girl came accepting the engagement so if he wants to end this engagement, he needs a reason.
-The girl's family is quite high ranked (Duke) and she is one of the most high ranked unmarried lady yet so it will be hard to end the engagement without a reason. He will need to find a new fiancee. (Mom doesn't want Dionel to have an unlovable marraige either)
-Anyway the engagement is quickly ended with him spreading rumours of him being cursed again and exagerated it too x) (apparently his bedroom is full of walls scratched, his kids will be cursed like him etc etc)
-The Duke got scared and end the engagement when Dionel suggests it. However there is one condition and he has to be the girl's partner (idk for what? there wasn't mention of a ball or anything so I'm confused about partner for what). Not as a lover but as a partner to heal her broken heart. It should be advantageous to him as he doesn't have a partner either.

-Mother understand that the one Dionel likes is Daisy and so talks to Dionel about the rumours going on about a white haired witch in a region. If a witch is found, she will only have one outcome and that's being burnt to death. Dionel gets scared and is thinking of a plan to stop this rumour. No use as the rumours stopped before he did anything. The Mother thinks that even if Daisy is a witch and she will have a witch daughter in law it's ok: it's easy to turn a witch into a wizard (except she didn't know that Daisy is a Ludweika idk how to write it again), anyway she supports their relationship (except that I wanna tell her that because of her sending the engagement letter and Dionel acting like this, Daisy heard about the rumours and is already heart broken but oh well. I really hope that Dionel suffers because what he did to the other girl was cruel: she already wasn't loved by her fam and when she thinks that she is loved and will even become Empress, the dude shatters her pride and her self love when she already doesn't have. Pitiful girl I would say)

Will try to read more of the novel but don't know if I will even have the time for it :')

So ml courted a lady just bc he reminded him of fl? Does he not realize he's basically a player and hurt 2 people at the same time (the lady bc she realized he didn't really like her and also fl who heard of the engagement) ugh i hope he gets to suffer too bc wth

 

Tbf in his mind, he wasn’t courting her. However from the outside pov, he looked like this. I think it’s just the fact that he lived inside the forest so long so he doesn’t know that the way he acted was misleading. That’s just an excuse I’m giving at this point because the dude is still only 16 but still the other lady is pitiful…

-Godell gave her a house to live
-She lives with Orsen and the doggies
-Daisy is now 12

I swear he is so cool about it that it's funny
