Wow, the ML is a surprise. Same question, is ML also the baby's daddy? How could he call her with a nickname though? Strangely though, due to the manhwa's character design, I can't help but see the Duke as a twink (so the body fantasy removes him for me) and ofc the mercenary would just be more trouble without status

Can someone edit the alternate title to Daddy Dilemma or whatever the manhwa adaptation is called to make it easier to search. Its funny though since I seem to have followed this thread already.

Edit: Merc being tanned in the novel might as well remove him as well in consideration

Just finished reading the 20 available chapters of the manhwa. I was honestly disappointed Grey denied being the father the first time. MCs POV oddly makes sense and it really isn't helping CP is acting so villainous so far. Not just the scheming kind but abusing a maid kind that it's hard supporting him as ML even if his younger brother has potential to be just as evil (I actually facepalmed when MC just left her child with Rhodan at ch.20s cliffhanger)

Really, with all the material Grey and Evan focus we've been getting, it's hard to root for CP at all. It isn't helping only Evan so far hasn't gotten his own subplot.

Grey giving me hope he actually slept with someone that has the same hanky as MC. Maybe because we didn't see MC beside him, I immediately thought he slept with Snow which made me sad again. CP being nefarious REALLY is NOT helping even though I GET his logic. His own father is supporting the younger sibling for his contribution in... the food industry while the oldest was traveling. It's quite unfair

It's gray (childhood friend), even if he strongly denied to be the father in the beginning he actually forgot that night bc of a drug made by snow (white hair lady). It's not clear but it seems she wanted to seduce him but he ended up sleeping with fl instead, later on it was confirmed he's the father bc his family has some sort of power (not really sure about this mlt was wonky) that makes a tattoo appear on their descendants

 

Oh thank you, but ML is the crown prince?? What's happen ??

 

Thanks for spoiling! So his memory of actually sleeping with someone IS reliable enough to be proof but due to the drugs for some reason, even we as readers somehow don't see MC in the same bed

 

Np! And yea, the drugs probably made him have hallucinations so his memories can't be trusted... now im actually more curious about fl and the prince's romance bc he want to use her as pawn while she is super wary

Oh God! The novel really pushed for the CP endgame. This might be one of the rare instances due to manhwa influence, I can't support endgame if the baby's father is already good enough.

Funny enough, I realized due to CPs struggling status atm, Gray actually has the current best status simply by inheriting the status already.

Coming back here every time the manhwa updates cuz CPs character development better be outstanding enough that MC would actually choose a different (used to be antagonistic) man than the child's father. Or did Grey end up with Snow Maltese or something? Or is her child inheriting the dukedom?

Getting REAL harder to support CP end since he HAS history of abusing someone. Lord, how did the novel do it? MC probably finding out Grey's the father BUT isn't pursuing the relationship despite him being the safest choice (minus the factors targeting him and his family). Literally, the child inherited his genetic family trait. One could argue Rue could still get the title of the Duke in the future BUT CP is getting harder to root for really. I understand his history gives him some leeway (and terrible MLs did worse abuse like the constant reminder at OI sub with On the Emperor's Lap) but at this point, HOW?! MCs family can just support him. What on earth DID he do to get that extreme redemption? Better bed talents than Grey?

If we're basing on this thread alone, Father is Grey/Duke but MC ends up with CP/blonde. Weird when what we know from the manhwa so far is CP is opportunistic and abused someone

I'm assuming the one you'll be reading and presumably spoiling would be the novel, I hope. Cuz, so far manhwa-wise, while I understood CPs motives, his supposed nicer brother seems to be just that... nice. Even kids can tell he's bonding with Edelweiss

Edit: come to think of it, I know CP wanted to use MCs family or status or whateve, but what gave him the idea he could've been the father on the early chapters of the manhwa? He certainly did not sleep with MC. Same reason Evan considered himself as one but at least for him, we could push for a chance to end up with his lady.

Can I just ask who on earth is the MAIN antagonist of this series? Thr latest manhwa chapter focused on Lady Snow's POV and even her mind was under the assumption CP is aiming to humiliate MC by using her again. Unless that Countess is working for someone else, again who on manhwa gods is the antagonist?

Every chapter it's getting harder to think or even consider CP as endgame, unless that probable issue with Edel's arm this chapter's cliffhanger is some sort of bruise I forgot where CPs brother could be involved, it seems Edel liked him last I remember. Really, it feels weird for me to look for Grey crumbs when he initially wasn't my main choice (due to twink first impressions and my tan bias) but him being the biodad should be the greatest push.

Was the endgame popular for the Korean fanbase? Maybe if it was unpopular enough, we could get a different endgame. CPs just portrayed way too much as an antagonist atm
