IDGAF about your opinion and analysis about any character's motive or personality, if you don't have spoiler on future development of stories, don't discuss here. Guys, about Romoe's "husband", Statis.....is he male or female? The bad translation from the manhwa made me confused about Statis's gender.
Romeo's husband is a woman but since she dresses as a man and behaves more like a man that a woman, compared to the women of the time, she's considered 'manly and handsome' more than pretty. the reason for her is 1. personal taste 2. keep her authority as heir ti the throne. It is shown in the book that women are often considered as 'inferior' and should be subservient. As heir to the throne, she can't have the 'male' nobles see her as a woman, but just as the heir, thus her demeanor and deportement are quite masculin. Don't get me wrong, she enjoy's it and she genuinly likes Romeo who is the more 'feminin' with this artistic side of the two. They are well balanced as a couple.
There’s one thing I’m confused about. Doesn’t she have a harem with Romeo being like the queen position? It’s been awhile but I feel like this was mentioned when she first got engaged to Romeo, but I can’t remember if this was ever mentioned again.
It’s never mentioned again because it’s irrelevant. Romeo is in the “top wife” position and is her official consort while the other two are concubines.
Thanks for clearing up for me. The bad translation from the manhwa made the Crown Prince a man who loved cross-dressing when she was young and made Romeo not a man but a female character who dressed up like a man or both of them are gay. Either way, James is definitely a trash character. He was given a 2nd chance and failed to give ML a happy life while the Duke did it so successfully in one attempt without zero intel about the MC. Even worse when James told the Emperor he rather have MC wither and die unhappily at his side rather than give her away. He also treated her as cum dump and baby maker machine regardless of how she felt. He also isolated her away her children, and made sure that she couldn't stand up on her own feet so she could only rely on him to live.
That's the issue with MTL from korean to english or any other language, they don't have gendered pronouns so he she they is all the same. Translation then becomes almost random in that regard.
I'm sorry guys, can someone give us spoiler of what happened next? The FL is travelling with her father and ends up in James's private estate, what happened after that? Will ML chase after her?
