Well… Do you have someone around you who has weird nicknames or Funny hilarious ones? Like my Grandfather gave my neighbour a Nickname because of his deceptive nature or character you can say. It was Punjabi horse (Punjabi Ghoda). And he will call him that directly in front of his face (ᵕ—ᴗ—). I myself have given a nickname to my cousin who is a boy. It is Monalisa, Monkey, Mona… those two are girl names and it became a habit to call him that. One of us is also given a name which is Poisonous gas and Tomo car (Tomo Gadi). [Though not used in front of others]
I have some. One of them are potato or madness... My neighborhood children called me madness cause one of old man at village who dislike me and want me being a madness called me that. And ask the children to call me that too.
Well...my aunt give nickname of a neighbour of mine bolboli which literally means a person who talks much.. Myself give nickname to one of my friend perfume cuz she used to bath once week and she used to stink so much Then in school we all used to have nickname mine was mentu cause I was literally a crazy person at that time..
I have I have a friend which has the nickname Chicken (Komadi). Another one has Parle ( biscuits). One has Whiskey. One has Monaco.(biscuit brand).
i get called lukeass sometimes, cuz my name's lucas used to be called leukocyte back in elementary to junior highschool, sometimes called that by the same dudes (3rd yr college now lol)
Hmm some acquaintances are literally names "salmon" and "fork". In German, if course xD I don't even know their real names...
Well…. I didn’t remember my uncle’s name because everyone called him with the childhood nickname. I was so embarrassed when someone asked me his name and now for that reason I know lol…
My nickname is actually my user. My dad gave it to me to be funny (cause my middle name isn’t Lou and I’m not from Kalamazoo). When I was little I would introduce myself this way cause I thought it was my name
My nickname is also my username! A lot of people have called me this. Even strangers. But this name is an endearment in my mother land. My guy also calls me this, but he often calls me 'Bhageri' (female sparrow) too. So I've come to call him 'big fool' and 'bhagera'(Male sparrow) My cousin brother-in-law calls my cousin sister 'Madam'. One of my classmates was called 'Lemon' because her name rhymed with the hindi word for lemon. (Nimbu) I also know a guy who is called owl (latakasero)
No it’s not strange or funny It can be called cute I guess Like nicknaming after a fruit I read on NUF the nickname of someone in childhood was ‘Sweet baby’… It’s funny and cute
I had multiple nicknames in my childhood. They were endearments, abbreviation of my name or whatever. The most used one was an abbreviation for my name. But it's not used very frequently now because my father was like "I chose such a pretty and meaningful name for you but it's being butchered!" Nobody really listened to him at first but when my older sisters were teens, they felt that the nicknames were lame and dad might be right. So they stopped using them. But I don't really care and still call them by their lame nicknames inside home cuz the names our dad chose are hassles to pronounce. Sameee! Now I remember half of his name, which is one word, but don't know the other 1 or 2 words. I have given up. It's impossible for me to remember 100+ names when half of them are always called by their nicknames or by "XX's son\daughter". Usually I just text my older sister or mom whenever I need to know a relatives full name or formal name.
Yep, heaps. High school: Hairy-man. It rhymed with her name. She was beautiful, shy and sweet, which made some of the local bitches insanely jealous. Had zero effect on her popularity with guys. Bigbig. Obsessed with boobs. Big BIG ones. Psycho Eddie. Managed to eat five super sours (a type of extremely sour candy), in one shot. Uni: [Redacted]-no-nuts. Technically speaking, he ended up with one nut after oofing himself trying a really dumb stunt. Didn't put his name in since it's super distinctive, my country is small and I don't want to risk traumatizing the guy if some sfb tries digging for troll material one day. Random: Fish. Cool guy. Couldn't answer a simple yes or no question if his life depended on it. Moose. I have no idea why his nick was Moose. It's not like we have them in my country. He's not big or brown either. Shep. OK so the man was asked what three sheep, two sheep and one sheep was called. His answers were sheeps, sheep and shep, respectively. Even his family call him Shep. That's a couple off the top of my head. Most people I know have at least one nickname, if not more.
