Sorry its been a while. I dropped this novel towards the end as I lost interest after the leads got together lol. Here’s what I rmb + a quick skim of the last few chapters so take these spoilers with a grain of salt! Spoiler: Last 10ish chapters - ML took FL to the penthouse that he furnished for her, he then ask to live together and unofficially ask her to get married. It was not quite a proposal but he talk about wanting to live together and eventually getting married. He doesnt care about kids but is curious about what her kids would look like, etc. - 2nd ML became the director of the company that FL works for and was preparing to get married to the arranged marriage partner for business purposes (this girl also confronted FL once bcuz she knew 2nd ML likes FL and FL told her she already has someone else she likes blah blah). - 2nd ML was plotting to destroy ML’s company or sthing like that. He also gave FL a promotion to a Project Manager position in Europe. She met him and decline the offer as well as cut ties w him and the company citing the assault incident. - There were a lot of details leading into the downfall of 2nd ML and his mom (business wise). Mostly caused by ML bcuz he also has connection w the president of their company. Wasnt very exciting for me so I skipped most of them. 2nd ML blame ML for everything citing he has an inferiority complex w him ever since high school. - Btw one of the reason FL has been working for them is bcuz they pay for her mom’s hospital fee. She quits the job after ML assure her that there’s another way to handle that even after she cut ties with them. - After the downfall, 2nd ML came to find ML and stab him w a knife in the abdomen. Not life threatening as ML was able to quickly take him down and warn him to never show up again and just live quietly. ML decide not to press charge and delete all evidence and just make it seems like a non life threatening incident cause by business partners. He hid the culprit from FL at first but she eventually find out and feel bad but still nurse him through his recovery. - I’m not 100% sure about mom’s dynamic w the company i think she was either one of the executives or the siblings of the President?? If someone read more into this feel free to correct me. But 2nd ML and mom left the country to evade their bad deeds and the company just replaced their position to carry on. - The current President rejected FL’s resignation so she come back to work - Timeskip, ML/FL have been married for 4 months and they’re fighting bcuz he keeps nagging about her safety after she got injured after a work trip. ML got drunk then came to visit FL’s mom in the hospital to “drunk nag” that FL is not listening to him blah blah blah. They made up and he gifted her a star shaped hair pin (he bought it for her on the street while drunk). The morning after reveals FL pairing that w another star shape hair pin on her head. It was bought by ML during high school days but he never gave it to her and hid it in their hideout house’s cupboard. FL later found it but wasnt sure if it was from ML or not but she kept it till this day.

I agree with you. At the last few chapters I was like "That's it?" Mihyang's downfall was really easy and fast. Here's to your question about Mihyang (SML's mother): Spoiler She's the sibling of the company chairman. She's very ambitious and resented the fact her brother is the chairman only because he's a guy. She had been doing a lot of shaddy things to get more funds and undermine her brother. SHe pushed her husband to be in position in the company but their relationship was not good. Mihyang is very controlling towards her husband and son. ML passed the evidence to her brother, who then threatened to send Mihyang and SML to jail if they refuse to leave the country and live like exiled. Her husband doesn't want to have anything to do with her and announced he will move somewhere instead. On the part when SML was promoted as director of Europe branch (happened before the downfall): His intention is actually darker. He's going to get married but will be long-term living in Europe. It's not mentioned clearly, but it seems like his future wife will be left in South Korea or long distance marriage. Meanwhile he tried to tie MC down by promoting her to be project manager in Europe too, same office as him. This is despite MC only has 6 years of working experience. It's like 1. to distance MC from ML, 2. basically sort of making her his mistress, regardless she's willing or not. 3.he doesn't care to make MC the target of gossip in the corporation. He even went as far as threatening her with her mother's medical bills. << but I am glad MC did not give in to this threat like usual cliche.
