They're initially prideful and rarely give mc the benefit of the doubt due to habit, and their negative perception slowly start being chipped away when they realise the extent of their prejudice/lack of empathy. This type of story would most likely be Second Chance, Transmigration or Reincarnation something, but as long as it's neglectful family deeply regrets and grovels, then I'm all ears! I've read Death is the only ending for the villainess and was supposed to be letting the manhwa marinate but I caved and binged it8 Thanks for reading!

Actually, I was the Real One: reincarnation/time-rewind, no romance in the novel but the manhwa is GxB. The neglectful father’s regret is a slow burn but it’s an important subplot late in the novel.

A Stepmother’s Marchen K-Novel, BG, second chance, rebirth, MC as a step mother not as a child, Regret with a capital R! One of the best written stories I've read, but do mind the gruesome bits! I really like the push and pull of the characters, even if it's frustrating at times! If you can take miscommunication mishaps, definitely recommend! Isn’t Being A Wicked Woman Much Better? I just wanted to add this novel in case you were craving a fluffier, more pampering-y type of novel with small regrets. I know it's not too close to what you're asking, but the previous K-Novels I recommended are pretty heavy--here the family antics are really funny and silly, if you'd like a mental break!
