I think it would have been better to include brother in the if story. He was one of the main reason for the conflict.

The FL has a lot on her platter. She is way too emotionally invested, can't blame her. It's too cruel to give her family affection and take it away in a snap.

Regardless of plot holes, I admire the FL who can actually handle such a stressful situation. It's way too much.

And the ML too, 4 years... 4 long years. I mean FL, she did have to stick to her script but it mainly involved her being the perpetrator. But for ML he has to act good to a person whom he hates. I especially hate it when he is forced to hug FL to console her. Many might think isn't it just a hug?!
But to be forced to do that, over and over again to a person you couldn't care less about, is so nauseous. It takes such a toll on you. Further relationship with others will also get affected. I hate that part, I don't think it should be brushed off so easily

MC’s mother collapsed. MC suspects Cha Yebin may be responsible and it turns out true. Cha Yebin convinced their father to give the health project to Han Seori same as in the original story. MC confronts Cha Yebin about the pain he is causing their parents. Cha Yebin accuses MC of acting out of character. MC wonders about Cha Yebin's changed personality.

He is upset about his family's situation and the criticism directed towards Han Seori. He feels frustrated with his sister's attitude. However, Cha Yeryun believes she has always given Han Seori the option to make different choices and hates that she is being blamed for something that was ultimately Han Seori’s decision. MC pleads with Cha Yebin to think about the situation, about how he’s hurting his parents (father’s trauma and mother’s worries) but he only says that Han Seori is also their father’s child and they should help her get accepted into the family. MC yells at Cha Yebin that it’s him who should do something about this. When leaving MC said to herself “If it keeps going like this, I’m going to destroy everything. Do you understand? “The flower of damned trials.”

This wasn’t supposed to be heard by Cha Yebin, but she didn’t see that he was staring into the space and muttering “no, no, no” for a long time after she left.
A private charity party by Jecheon Group attracts media attention. Reporters who didn't receive invitations try to get the guest list and take pictures from a distance. The party is for Han Seori's grand debut and the start of a major project. Security is tight, and MC enters the hall, where many famous figures greet Cha Yeryun. Eunwoo, who shines just like Cha Yeryun, approaches her, causing a commotion. Despite the party's concept of frugality, Park Eunwoo stands out with his stunning looks. The leads exchange compliments and have a small talk, but Cha Yeryun feels uneasy about Park Eunwoo's mysterious behavior regarding Cha Yebin’s organ transplant and is thinking about the right timing to ask him about his side of the story.

Oh Seon-hye enters the party. Observing her at a party, MC notices she's acting differently, more passive and aloof.

When Han Seori arrives, she stands out in her overtly branded outfit, which contrasts the non-fancy style of the charity party. MC’s father and Cha Yebin look tense because no one has informed Han Seori about the party's concept. Park Eunwoo can’t stop laughing and saying that they have found a wonderful teacher for the heroine.

Her outfit has already become a topic of gossip and ridicule among the guests, potentially damaging the Jecheon Group's image. MC tries to approach Han Seori, but some daughters of smaller companies who got acquainted with Han Seori through Choi Gyeong-ah surround the heroine, praising her outfit.

When MC intends to go talk to the heroine, Oh Seon-hye grabs Cha Yeryun’s hand and pulls her aside, glancing at Han Seori. She says she’s met her at a department store and that she had a plan and doesn’t want Cha Yeryun to be thought of as a mastermind, so she’ll keep her away for now. She says she can’t let the Jecheon Group’s image be damaged, so someone will spill champagne on the heroine and she’ll have to change her clothes into something more modest prepared by Oh Seon-hye beforehand. Then someone really spilled champagne on the heroine. Oh Seon-hye was proud of her actions.

Cha Yebin approached Han Seori and covered her with his suit jacket, taking her out of the party.

Oh Seon-hye and Park Eunwoo met for the first time in front of Cha Yeryun and had a tense interaction vying for her attention. Yeryun felt caught between the two of them and wanted to leave, but they both insisted that she stay. She is overwhelmed by their attempts to charm her. Sparks fly between the two as they try to win her over. Park Eunwoo says that MC’s father was looking for her, so she eventually leaves the two and runs towards her father.

MC asks her father formally if he was looking for her. Chairman Cha expresses his disappointment that she speaks to him formally, as he prefers to be called affectionately. He then reveals how disappointed he is in Han Seori's recent behavior, but they agree to discuss it at home.

Park Eunwoo then appears and greets Chairman Cha, much to MC’s surprise because if her father was looking for her they would have talked already. She realizes that Park Eunwoo has defeated Oh Seon-hye by lying and letting MC leave looking for her father, and she is amazed by his ability.

Chairman Cha has been eyeing Park Eunwoo as a son-in-law for a long time, so when ML addresses him as “father-in-law” MC’s father is happy.

In the original story after Han Seori appears and original Cha Yeryun does a lot of stupid bullying to the heroine, Cha Se-hoon (the father) breaks off Cha Yeryun’s and Park Eunwoo’s engagement to protect both daughters and promotes a new engagement with Seori.

MC realizes that the breakup of Cha Yeryun and Park's engagement, an important incident in the original story, has disappeared. She happily jumps into Park Eunwoo’s embrace repeating “It was a success!” making everyone realize their engagement is not only political. Cha Se-hoon makes a toast to solidify the engagement, while MC is still trying to get out of ML’s arms.
“An important incident has gone missing… … .”
I muttered softly. Eunwoo Park heard my muttering and made eye contact with me. A smile bloomed on my face as I looked at his face curiously.
    “It was successful… … ! It was a success!”

Without realizing it, I ran towards Park Eun-woo and hugged his neck. I felt him wrap his strong arms around my waist and give me strength, as I loved stamping my feet.

“It was successful. Mr. Eunwoo. This is a success! We can change the Flower of Ordeal. You can change it!”

Filled with joy, I kept whispering in his ear. We're not wrong. In the end, Flower of Ordeal was unable to impose any sanctions on us and lost a major event. We could change it.

    “Yes, Yeryeon?”

Chairman Cha called me from behind in an embarrassed voice. I was so excited about the success I suddenly realized that it was only then that I came to my senses. The sound of people murmuring was also heard.

    "Oh that… … !”

I was so excited that I ran towards Park Eun-woo without even realizing it. I was trying to get out of Eunwoo Park's arms, but his arms wrapped around my waist and held me tighter.
Han Seori returns to a party with a new, simpler style provided by Oh Seon-hye. Chairman Cha is unhappy that Cha Yebin is still following Han Seori like a tragic lover. Cha Yeryun is whispering to him that it won’t be easy, because they are actually not biological siblings. Chairman Cha is shocked that MC knows the secret, but still says that they are siblings and that’s how it should be.

Che Yeryun approaches Han Seori who never hides that she hates Cha Yeryun. She asks whether Han Seori knows what this party is about. Han Seori proudly says that Choi Gyeong-ah has told her it’s a party for her and she’ll have to come to stage and say thanks to everyone here.

Cha Yeryun says that there’s also a gift for her, which is the upcoming announcement that Han Seori will be in charge of the new health food brand. All minions gathered around Han Seori who’ve heard that got excited and started congratulating her and Choi Gyeong-ah felt extremely jealous.

Cha Yerin says that it’s all thanks to Cha Yebin that Han Seori got this place and that now many people won’t be able to look down on her. Cha Yeryun gives Han Seori a script prepared by the Jecheon Group to help her with her speech. Han Seori is skeptical of Cha Yeryun's intentions, but MC is skillfully reminding the heroine of all the mistakes she’s made so far in such a short period of time and how everyone had to clean after her, which makes Han Seori tremble with anger.

Cha Yeryun politely greets Choi Gyeong-ah and says that she’s heard that she’s taking care of their family’s ugly duckling. She also says that she heard that Choi Gyeong-ah is friends with Oh Seon-hye, so she asks to say hi to her in her stead as the relationship between them is not easy after the incident. This leaves Choi Gyeong-ah wondering whether the relationship between the two groups hasn’t been restored properly yet. It was somehow supposed to be a warning or a provocation, but it wasn’t clear how it’s supposed to cause anything.

Cha Yeryun once again tells Han Seori to have more common sense and realise her position, the heroine remains defiant, and Cha Yeryun ignores her and walks away to her father and brother.

Cha Yeryun is now mingling with important figures, causing Han Seori to feel annoyed and inferior.

Girls who were introduced to Han Seori by Choi Gyeong congratulate her new position in the Jecheon Group, but Han Seori is playing humble and shy. All these girls are daughters of mid-low level companies, but they were like Choi Gyeong-ah’s minions. She becomes anxious as she realizes the Jecheon Group might be treating Han Seori as a legitimate family member. Han Seori's confidence grows as the women around her praise and encourage her, while Choi Gyeong-ah feels left behind and threatened. She also wonders if Park Eunwoo knows about her new position and if that's why he's been kind to her. She notices him lovingly gazing at Cha Yeryun, making Choi Gyeong-ah feel despair.

Choi Gyeong-ah takes Han Seori away saying to her that she needs to learn to distinguish between useful and not useful people. She uses this chance to get close to other big shots on the party under pretext of introducing Han Seori to influential people. Han Seori is treated rudely and called an "illegitimate child" by some, but Choi Gyeong-ah ignores it and continues to introduce her. Despite the congratulatory words about her promotion, there is a coldness in the eyes of those who gather around Han Seori. Choi Gyeong-ah is excited to have people's attention and continues to talk about Han Seori's new position.
Han Seori feels out of place at a party filled with wealthy conglomerates. People ignore her and focus on Cha Yeryun, her half-sister. When Han Seori tries to speak up, she's met with mocking looks. She becomes angry and realizes that she is older than Cha Yeryun and should have been the one to inherit her father's wealth and get his attention. She approaches Chairman Cha to confront him, causing a scene. The atmosphere becomes tense, and everyone looks at Han Seoriin shock. She asks Chairman Cha who her biological mother is, causing even more tension.

Cha Yeryun slaps Han Seori, causing shock and anger. Chairman Cha remains stiff, and MC worries about his condition. Park Eunwoo is concerned about her reddened palm. Han Seori, surprised, questions Eunwoo's actions, causing MC to feel a cool air surrounding her body. Park Eunwoo only responds to Cha Yeryun, causing Han Seori to call out to him again. She seemed to be in a trance, repeating his name and staring at him intently. Han Seori focuses on Park Eunwoo's arm supporting Cha Yeryun and she quickly shook it off. Everyone else at the party was staring blankly into space, except for Park Eunwoo and MC. Han Seori, who is usually bright and pure, seemed to be possessed by something and kept asking Park Eunwoo to come to her. She became angry when he refused and started to run away with Cha Yeryun.
“Why are you there? “Park Eunwoo’s seat is here.”

Han Seori pointed behind herself. It was Park Eunwoo's position to always quietly stand by Han Seo-ri's back.

“Why don’t you do what you should do and why do you do what you shouldn’t do?”

Its last words were referring to me. Han Seori, who was standing in front of Park Eunwoo, bent her waist to the side and looked at me. When I saw Han Seori looking at me with a smile that was ear-splitting, I was filled with disgust and covered my mouth. If I didn't cover my mouth, one of two things, either screaming or vomiting, would definitely come out.

“I think they are doing something they shouldn’t be doing?”

Park Eunwoo pulled Han Seori’s collar and made her stand in front of him. When Han Seori's face was hidden behind his body, I was able to let out the breath I had been holding. As if that creepy thing wasn't scary enough, Park Eun-woo laughed at it and said sarcastically.

“Han Seori is destroying everything right now. The Flower of Ordeal. But why are you just watching?”
    “… … .”
“If Han Seori remains bright and pure like a heroine, wouldn’t Park Eunwoo be able to do what he needs to do?”

Han Seori gritted her teeth. The lips that had been smiling strangely quickly returned to their original positions. Han Seori, who instantly became expressionless, continued to shake her head.

"no no. It hasn't changed. It hasn’t changed.”
    “It’s changed.”
    “No, no, no, no, no.”

Han Seori quickly shook her head and denied Park Eunwoo’s words. Oh my god. Eunwoo Park was currently talking to the Flower of Ordeal. Rather, the Flower of Ordeal seemed embarrassed by Park Eunwoo, who responded so calmly.

“Nothing has changed. This story will be the same until the end. Nothing has changed and nothing will change.”

Han Seori muttered constantly. A creepy smile appeared on her lips once again.

“Nothing has changed. No matter how hard you struggle, you can never change it, right?”

Han Seori laughed to herself. Then she suddenly raised her head and glared at Park Eunwoo.

“So go ahead and do what you have to do. Do what you have to do. Eunwoo Park. Go ahead and do what you have to do!”
    “… … .”

Park Eunwoo looked down at Han Seori with calm eyes. He raised his hand for a moment and repeatedly clenched and unclenched his fist. After a moment, he lowered his fist, looked at Han Seori, and answered with the brightest face in the world.

    "Nope."
    “… … what?"

Han Seori’s mouth dropped open. Eunwoo Park snatched my wrist with his nimble hands, turned around, and started running.

    “Oh, wait a minute, Eunwoo!”
    “Run quickly!”

Park Eunwoo smiled brightly. His face, smiling brighter than the sunlight, looked refreshed, as if he had shaken off all old emotions.
While running Park Eunwoo explained that they needed to go to a place where there are no people because the eyes of the people there were also the eyes of the Flower of Ordeal which will kinda reset the situation. MC was touched by his calm and confident demeanor, and couldn't help but feel safe and at ease next to him. However she couldn't shake off the feeling of worry and anxiety about Han Seori and Chairman Cha.

Park Eunwoo told her that they now needed to wait in a place where Han Seori could naturally come to her senses when she woke up.

Cha Yeryun realized that he meant the party hall. Together they made their way to a nearby lobby. Han Seori approached them with a creepy "Found you!".

Han Seori still overtaken by the Flower of Ordeal confronts Park Eunwoo and Cha Yeryun. The Flower is angered by their refusal to follow it’s demands. Park Eunwoo remains calm and tells Han Seori (the flower) that he does not love her, which further enrages it and it continues saying that there's no way out and they should follow the setting.

Park Eunwoo confronts the Flower of Ordeal for some time saying that he didn’t do anything, the Flower of Ordeal has ruined the story itself by ruining Han Seori's character and that now there’s no way to turn it back. MC is scared by the confrontation, she’s afraid that Park Eunwoo will get hurt by the Flower of Ordeal, so she starts talking to Han Seori asking her to wake up and asking why she wanted to find her biological mother so much. She provokes her by saying that even then the heroine will never be as good as Cha Yeryun.

Han Seori snaps out of it and finds herself in the hotel lobby instead of the party. She is angry and trembling with hatred towards Cha Yeryun for the slap and the words she said. Then Han Seori starts to have a headache and can't remember what has happened, Park Eunwoo steps in to help, telling her that he brought her there and that she should hold on a little longer.

Park Eunwoo then leaves with Han Seori back to the party hall to kinda manipulate the memories of the people at the party this way. They won't remember that our leads have run away, so when he comes back with Han Seori everyone will think that he has taken her out after the face slap and now has brought her in. Cha Yeryun is relieved to be able to sit down and expresses her frustration out loud.
The announcer told the audience at the party that chairman Cha of Jecheon Group is about to give a speech. The guests, including Han Seori, are gathered around the podium. Oh Seonhye approaches Cha Yeryun and says she has a question about Cha Yebin. Oh Seonhye asks whether MC thinks that Cha Yebin has qualifications to be the heir. It hints to Cha Yeryun that Oh Seonhye knows that he is an adopted child. Cha Yeryun is confused about Seonhye's intentions.

She knows that Oh Seonhye has never loved Cha Yebin, but was ready to marry him because he was the best option for her considering status, money, power and looks. But when the engagement was broken she was looked down upon by her family. It took her a lot of effort to not only gain the power within her family's group, but also rise to a position where she is now considered the heir. So she is definitely resentful about the fact that Cha Yebin could have been married to her as a real blood of Jecheon Group, but in reality was an adopted child. MC is now overwhelmed with the number of people and issues she has to deal with, including Han Seori, Seonhye, Cha Yebin, and Park Eunwoo.

Chairman Cha announces that his daughter, Han Seori, will join the Jecheon Group. Han Seori delivers a speech, receiving applause and curiosity from the crowd. She says she will do her best supervising the new brand going forward and answers some pre-approved questions of the reporters.

Reporter Choi Bang-hyuk asks why Han Seori kept her original last name instead of taking the Cha name. Han Seori is uncomfortable and hesitates to answer. Choi Bang-hyuk then asks what Han Seori would do if she found her biological mother. Cha Yebin interrupts, shielding Han Seori and dragging her away. The party grows tense as Choi Bang-hyuk leaves.

While preparing to address reporters at a party, Cha Yeryun is stopped by Chairman Cha who takes the podium instead and apologizes to the audience for the party not running smoothly. He than says that Han Seori misunderstood and she will be joining the new brand as an intern, while the project will be lead by MC. Reporters are confused because they were given a different script, but Chairman Cha lies about this being decided long ago. Cha Yeryun and Park Eunwoo exchange worried glances because Han Seori's project got taken away. The same thing has happened in the original TV drama, but there it was Han Seori who got the project when Cha Yeryun was expected to be the general manage.

Han Seori is upset that she has been removed as general manager and replaced by Cha Yeryun and is throwing a tantrum to her father. MC, ML and the secretary are also present, while she's yelling that she didn't deserve this. But the chairman says he never said to her directly that she’ll be promoted. The heroine blames Cha Yeryun for taking what is rightfully hers, including her position, her biological mother, and even Park Eunwoo. Chairman Cha is angry at her because it wasn’t rightfully hers and says that she’s greedy and can’t keep her mouth shut, which has stained their group’s reputation, so she should learn as an intern.

Han Seori insists that MC has taken everything from her, while Cha Yeryun says she didn’t, and that she is only blaming them out of jealousy and an inferiority complex. MC is frustrated by Han Seori's constant accusations.

Han Seori demands that Cha Yeryun return everything she took from her. Cha Yeryun says that all misfortunes the heroine has experienced were caused by her own actions and choices. Han Seori is left shocked and speechless, unable to prove that the things Cha Yeryun took were originally hers. Han Seori realizes that she has no one to support her, and she collapses emotionally. Cha Yeryun is satisfied with the outcome and looks forward to a possible happy ending.

Han Seori is filled with malice and hatred towards Cha Yeryun, who took her place as the eldest daughter. Choi Gyeong-ah, who is used to Han Seori following her around, approaches the heroine and asks her why would she cause the commotion earlier, but Han Seori remembers what Choi Gyeong-ah said to her about finding more useful people and becomes cold and arrogant towards her. Choi Gyeong-ah is overwhelmed by the change in attitude and the creepy atmosphere that Han Seori gives off. Han Seori reveals that she has realized something and at some point she pushes Choi Gyeong-ah with a finger and the girl falls to the ground and while trying to grab onto something causes other minions to fall down as well.

Han Seori experiences a thrill of pleasure after causing Choi Gyeong-ah and her group to fall. She feels a sense of defeat and inferiority about Cha Yeryun but decides to rise above her. After shaking off Choi Gyeong-ah's hand, Han Seori walks away with confidence. She realizes that Oh Seon-hye, who helped her earlier with the dress, may be more useful than Choi Gyeong-ah. Han Seori decides to approach Oh Seon-hye, no longer concerned about others' gazes. She plans to make the Jecheon Group's head family regret their contempt for her.

While looking for Oh Seon-hye, a man grabbed Han Seori's wrist wanting to chat. She shook him off, annoyed by his rudeness and the fact that he didn't recognize her as the Jecheon Group's daughter. Unimpressed by his reaction, she walked away, leaving him to comment on her resemblance to Cha Yeryun.

Han Seori can't find Oh Seon-hye at the party and dials her phone number. But before the call goes through she is interrupted by reporter Choi Bang-hyuk and puts her phone into a pocket. The reporter shows Han Seori an old envelope containing a handwritten letter from her biological mother, who left her at an orphanage. The heroine is shocked and overjoyed, but also remembers Cha Yeryun's words that what she believes is right may be wrong. She becomes determined to take down Cha Yeryun and reclaim her place as the oldest daughter in the Jecheon Group. Reporter Choi observes Han's reactions and smiles. He is excited by Han Seori’s intense desires, which could change his life in turn. They shake hands, agreeing to work together. Meanwhile our sweet Woo Dowan observes them, then leaves the party wearing a black mask.

The heroine’s pocketed cell phone shows a 17-minute, 59-second call record which means that Oh Seon-hye was listening to the whole plan the heroine has made with the reporter.
This charity event took almost 1/3 of the book (at least that's how I've felt reading it). It was the breaking point for Han Seori to turn into a villainess and basically become the same character as Cha Yeryun in the original - a stupid and arrogant person with inferiority complex and hatred. Now it's not even clear what original Cha Yebin and Park Eunwoo even could like about the heroine.

But honestly all this drama and the events that follow could have been avoided if only the father has told Han Seori the true circumstances around her birth. It would have immediately stopped her delusions about her mother being a poor woman in love who was thrown away from her lawful position of a fiancée by an arranged marriage partner. She would have just gratefully accepted her new life and maybe could have become a good person. But it didn't happen because the author needed plot devices for the future events.

Also it feels too forced that the Flower of Ordeal is brainwashing the heroine about everything belonging to her. It doesn't matter how arrogant and rude she is, it's really unfair that she's getting set up this way. If the world has this power why not brainwash everyone else to help her instead of our main leads? Another plot hole unfortunately.

It's mainly the director who isn't able to come in terms with plot change. After torturing the FL and ml, the director didn't even leave the FL out of it.
As a drama these plot holes were okay, but when MC used it, it became glaring back how immature and unrealistic the script is.

We can't even say that the director is someone who cherishes his craft and work. He manipulates the origFl as well to get his work done. He doesn't even realize the essence of the story changed completely due to it.

The director or screen writer who ever it is, is a freak who is obsessed with the remnants of his work. No respect to the craft, no flexibility to change in plot. He is like a whining child who is throwing a tantrum to get his bids. Except the child could be said innocent or worse case immature. While he is not.

If it was just the FL or ml that was affected it would have been extremely scary. It's a good thing both are affected, so they can rely on each other!

You have actually guessed the main antagonist of the story!
The whole transmigration magic wasn’t explained at all and the mtl was confusing, but here’s what has happened.

ML was a very talented young scriptwriter and director, he has even won some awards right after graduating from the film school or even during his school years.

So the original writer of the Flowers of Ordeal has sent him a script for the remake. ML didn’t like the story with so many plot armours intended to make the main leads shine undeservedly.

It wasn’t clear to me whether ML didn’t like the original story or the remake version or whether the remake version was supposed to be same to the dot as the original, but just with the new actors, but anyways our ML said that it’s garbage and he won’t be participating. The writer was bombarding him with offers begging to take the script, asking “Why do you hate the story so much?” and ML didn’t want anything to do with it.

And then one day he was reading that original script, fell asleep and woke up in the world of “the flower”.

When the leads went back to their real world the scripts they had at their places have changed from the crappy plot the original author has made to the story detailing their experiences while inside the TV drama world.

There was a message written by the author on the new scripts that replaced the old version - “do this”.

The author has actually passed away that night (not clear whether he/she was sick or unalived themself because ML didn’t want to participate in the remake and to make him take over out of guilt).

So I was left wondering whether the new script was credited to that author or to ML, because logically the new plot was created by ML’s and FL’s actions, while this stubborn original author was torturing the leads trying to prove that his/her original story is good as is.

Also what wasn’t clear is how did the production start, as they were already casting actors and advertising the start of the remake, when they didn’t have an approved director at that time and no proper script. Changing the concept when the actors are already selected would be quite a lot of headache, especially when the protagonists suddely switch places with the antagonists. I hope this is explained better in the manhwa.

    Thanks for clearing this up!

And I think even if they show up in manhwa it's gonna be a long while since the story has too many plots to cover. I hope they don't drag it too much while maintaining the original work

    Which past do you mean?
Their relationship is described only in a few side stories. There’s not much revealed except that they are a loving couple and supportive of each other. ML is a bit possessive, but MC is quite strong and independent so she’s not swiped away with ML’s affection like many other FLs in k-novels.

Tbh, I never understood why Han Seo-ri’s adoptive mother smacked Cha Yeryeon with kimchi. Putting her intentions to prevent the marriage aside, shouldn’t they be grateful that she prevented two siblings from getting married (of course, if we don’t factor that Ye-bin’s adopted but no one is really supposed to know at this point)? Han Seo-ri’s automatic tendency to attribute all her bad experiences as Yeryeon’s fault also got old really fast.

Just one of the many original plot issues. Poor Yeryeon was simply created to be hated, and Eunwoo was created to be used.

When did the brother find out he's adopted? And why the parents adopted him, like because they thought they won't be able to get pregnant or something.
