Until I turned five, no one came to find me, and I was left abandoned in a corner of the Duke’s mansion. If things stay like this, we’ll both be kicked out just like in the original story, and I’ll die along with that father of mine. In a desperate situation, I managed to clean up my father’s messes, dealt with the women he’s obsessed with, and handled all sorts of problems. Finally, my noble grandfather called for me! “You, unlike your father, are quite useful. You'll be my succesor.” “…Me?” Suddenly, me? This is the story of Erusha, who reformed her handsome but useless father and eventually took over the entire family.

What happens to the Charter(? I can’t recall the exact name) family it sounds like they’re the villains based on the chapters I’ve read. Do we see the grandpa regret what he did? And what happens to the incompetent cheating emperor and that red haired woman? And the poor empress?
Please are there any spoilers Like what happened to her mum and made her dad change Also do things get better for her and her dad?
Mc's mother didn't die after give birth to MC. She chose to divorce her husband because of problem between the two family. She left Mc to her husband and retourn to her family. But she died after that. Mc's parents was in love so mc's father was broke because he didn't see his wife after the divorce. He hates his dad, he see him like the man who distroy his marriage so he don't want to work for his family anymore. He became to change thanks to Mc. Ml is the crown prince. I think the villainess is the witch who work for the emperor.
Reading the manga made me realize that I have read the novel When MC's dad was sentence to stay in the same house as MC, I was like "This is familiar" then the story really did flow according to my memory where dad burned all of MC's dolls, MC who tried to get her father back to the main house, to the Angel scandal were all familiar to me and know what would happen next Spoiler: ML ML is the crown prince Eliot. It’s been a while since I last read this, so I don’t remember all the details clearly, but I do recall that even from a young age, Eliot was already doing his best to protect his country. This is also shown in the manga. After Leo destroys the Nicolas dukedom, Eliot proposes an engagement with Erusha to solidify his political standing and strengthen the duke’s power. Eventually, after the party, they become close allies and help each other out. Later on, Meletia ends up brainwashing most of the people in the palace. There comes a moment when it’s suddenly announced that Eliot is going to marry someone else, which deeply hurts Erusha. Everyone expected Eliot and Erusha to end up together, so the sudden engagement news comes as a shock. After the Emperor dies, Meletia manipulates Eliot through brainwashing, and during his coronation, it’s announced that he and Meletia will marry. The coronation will end in chaos. The MTL was pretty rough when I first read this, so it was a challenge to follow everything clearly. This is the time where Leo suspect his wife might be alive because he found a piece of her hair at the palace. Croby will be disgusted how he tries to keep the hair when they don't know who the hair belongs to Eliot wasn't actually brainwash and was only playing along because he wasn't strong and ready to face Meletia. Spoiler: MC's mother Actually, Erusha’s mother, Juliette, is still alive—she’s not dead. Her father (Erusha’s grandfather) was already under Meletia’s brainwashing when Erusha was born. After Juliette divorced Leo, she returned to her family’s home, but that’s when Meletia imprisoned her. Juliette was kept in a coma inside a tower on the palace grounds, where Meletia secretly used her blood as an ingredient in an elixir to maintain her youth and beauty and her power. While Juliette was unconscious, Meletia would regularly draw her blood and drink it. Juliette will appear after the death of Eliot’s father, the Emperor. She wakes up on her own and manages to free herself. While trying to escape, she runs into Leo, who had been searching for her. Leo had found a strand of her hair at the palace, which led him to suspect she was still alive. He even went to check her supposed tomb to confirm whether she was really buried there. Once he was certain Juliette hadn’t died, he set out to find her—and eventually did. MC's mother is no damsel in distress. She basically save herself and escape from Meletia. I think that even if she didn't met Erusha's father she will still be able to escape the palace ground safely. Anyway, the villain in this story for me are Erusha's two grandfather. Spoiler: Juliette's father Made a contract with Meletia and sacrifice his daughter. However, he was use instead and was brainwash and forgot everything.
Spoiler: Charter/Chartier Grandpa In the story, Chartier Grandpa is portrayed as an antagonist, but this was because he was under Meletia’s brainwashing. However, he did sacrifice his own daughter to elevate the family’s status, and he was also the one who invited Meletia and entered into a contract with her. Erusha eventually helped him break free from the brainwashing, and he came to regret his actions. However, even if he regretted them, he shouldn’t be forgiven. Juliette forgave him far too easily. She lost many years that should have been spent with her daughter, and Erusha suffered years of neglect. This might be the reason I completely forgot about this story—until I came across the manhwa, which brought it all back. Spoiler: Erusha's Grandpas Which grandpa are you referring to? Either way, both of Erusha’s grandfathers—on her mother’s and father’s side—end up regretting their actions. They prioritized their family name and reputation over building real relationships with their loved ones, yet still expected love and respect in return. It’s honestly infuriating, and I still don’t like them. They eventually come to realize how wrong they were—thanks to Erusha. There’s a key moment where Erusha guilt-trips her grandfather from the Shablin side (her father’s family). Erusha had secretly snuck out to visit the Chartier tomb. This is the place where Erusha and Eliot undergo a trial that reveals they both have powers. At that time, the Shablin household was in complete turmoil. Erusha had gone to the Chartier estate right when tensions were high—because the Chartiers demanded she should hold the last name Chartier. The Shablin family name was gaining prestige and recognition thanks to Erusha, who had created a cure that saved the entire continent from a devastating plague. Enraged by the fact that her achievements were bringing honor to the Shablins instead of the Chartiers, her maternal grandfather insisted that, since Erusha carried Chartier blood, she must be recognized as one of their own. The Chartier grandpa even gave the order to have her eliminated if she refused to become a Chartier. To go to the Chartier estate, Erusha told the coachman she missed her mother and wanted to visit her tomb. Feeling sorry for her and how lonely she seemed, the coachman agreed to take her. When her grandfather tried to scold her afterward, she calmly told him he had no right to be worried because she still remembered how he had abandoned her. This words shocked him and tried to appeal to her how he was worried and wants to protect her but Erusha explained that when she needed him the most, he wasn't there for her. She cried at that time. Spoiler: What happened at the Saint's Tomb? At the Saint’s Tomb, Eliot and Erusha were separated, each placed into their own trial. Despite not having Chartier blood, Eliot was still chosen by the guardian—or the ancient entity watching over the tomb—to undergo the test. The guardian, having been alone for centuries and craving interaction, offered Eliot a cruel choice: awaken the power hidden within him at the cost of Erusha’s life, or save her and forfeit the chance to awaken that power. Without a moment of hesitation, Eliot chose Erusha. The guardian tried to tempt him, warning that he’d lose the opportunity to become stronger, but Eliot remained resolute. He answered that as a prince, it was his duty to protect the life of a little girl over his own. At the time, they were both still very young. Moved by Eliot’s choice, the guardian decided to awaken his power anyway. He then advised Eliot to search for his ancestor’s relic to strengthen his power. Until that moment, Eliot hadn’t even realized he possessed any magical potential—he had believed the only thing special about him was his ability to read and understand ancient scripts. Spoiler: What happens to the Emperor and Empress They'll be dead. When the Empress dies, they will announce Eliot's engagement to someone not Erusha. When the Emperor dies, it will be announced that Eliot will marry Meletia. This of course cause an uproar because Meletia is older. However, I think most of the poeple are already brainwashed by her. Spoiler: Meletia will be defeated by Erusha. Forgot the details on how she was defeated. But her source of power, Juliette escape right after the Emperor's death and Eliot became the next emperor. My hatred for Erusha's Grandpa was more prominent compared to her. She wasn't that interesting as a villain. I seriously don't remember her but the manhwa art was kind of good. The only thing I remember about her was her manipulating people's memories and fighting with Erusha and putting her on an illusion and uses people's corpse as her source power? My memory about the fight with her is very hazy as I think it was anticlimactic. Spoiler: Why they separated This was covered in the manhwa. Leon changed because Juliette left him and their daughter who she cherished the most and died. He blamed his father who values the family name instead of family relationship. His choice to marry one of his son to someone that Chartier was in conflict was the cause of the separation but in truth Chartier grandpa needed Juliette to sacrifice to Meletia. Meletia is a warlock who needed others to strengthen her power. Spoiler: Do things get better for her and her dad? Yes, they do. Her father realizes how important Erusha is after she’s kidnapped by Duke Nicolas' heir. This incident also explains why Erusha doesn’t easily forgive her grandfather on her father’s side—when Leon came to rescue her, her grandfather beat him up because of a law that forbids bloodshed in family conflicts. Later, Leon asks Erusha if she resents him. He acknowledges that he didn’t take care of her and apologizes. Erusha asks why he abandoned her, and he explains that he couldn’t bear to look at her because she reminded him of how Juliette had abandoned him. He says Juliette left him twice—once by divorcing him and again by dying. Seeing Erusha was like looking at a wound he was trying to forget. Erusha then asks if he still sees her that way. Leon assures her that she was loved and never truly abandoned, and that she shouldn't carry that belief. He told her not to think the same way he does. He apologizes again for what he told herーabout her being a woundー and tells her he won't think of her as a wound. They hug and make up. Erusha mentions it’s their first time hugging, but Leon corrects her—it’s not the first time, she just doesn’t remember. He then promises to protect her from anyone who tries to hurt her. I think this was already covered in the manhwa. Anyway, in the future when Erusha become close to Eliot, she will leave him for Eliot and thinks "my daughter is now leaving me for her boyfriend." Also, even though Leo kind of sense there is something going on in the palace he thought it has nothing to do with him but changed his stance when he found Juliette's hair there. Seriously, how was he sure that it was her hair is kind of crazy if someone I know also does the same thing I will also question their sanity.
