    The vagueness of Japanese strikes again:

    Guy 1:「今、俺たちを見て『ふふっ』て笑ったの、遠くからでもわかるぜ……」
    Hiragana: (いま、おれたちをみて、ふふっ、てわらったの、とおくからでもわかるぜ)

    Guy 2:「ああもう……かわいいかよ」

    Ok. So I understand how to translate the first sentence, but not the second one. In the first sentence, guy 1 laments that a girl is laughing at them and feels like that means guy 2 and him are uncool or something.
    I’m trying to figure out if the second sentence means:
    1) “Ah geez, does she think we’re cute?”
    2). “Ah geez, isn’t she cute?”
    3) Ah geez, does she think she’s cute?” although the third option seems implausible since it sounds like guy 2 is implying she’s being cocky or isn’t cute, but both guy 1 and 2 adore said girl in the story.

    *This is my first post here so if I need to add more context or something pls don’t hesitate to ask. Thank you!

    Well, generally かわいい isn't used to describe men, so it's pretty safe to say the second guy is talking about her or her actions.
    I would put it like this:

    - You can tell even from this distance that she laughed, when she saw us just now...
    - Well... That's cute anyway.

    Oh!! That’s really good, that makes sense. You’ve made a great point about “kawaii” not being used to describe men. I didn’t even think about that σ^_^;
    Thank you(^∇^)
