    Hey

i am looking for a novels with lots of citybuilding.
It would be great if it had a sort of system as well. 2 examples of novels that i like are:
In "The World Online" the MC has to achieve a certain amount of population and complete other tasks as he continues to expand his small village into a town into a city into a kingdom and further into an empire with colonies everywhere.
it has a more serious note with politics woven throughout the story.

In "the lord's empire" the MC also has to expand his town further and further until it encompasses his whole world and expands into others. it has a lot more plot protection but is is still a good novel.

So are there other novels out there that you would consider similar to these?

wow that might be the worst novel i ever encountered... the mc is just impossibly dense and plain idiotic...
i only got a few chapters into it before i had to drop it in fear of losing any further brain cells..

    i appreciate the suggestions though
