Spoiler: Chapter 1866

first part of the chapter.

yoon jong falls down first, not understanding what’s happening. pain spreading through his body. he was pierced somewhere through the chest, blood gushing out. etc. he manages to get up, jo geol wants to run up to him, but yj says no, concentrate on fighting. they have a short dialogue w geol. yj feels fear when he hears more sounds of jis’s rings flying, but he braces himself.
he thinks how his pain is nothing compared to chung myung’s and baek cheon’s.
he thinks how cm would blame himself for this, but it’s not his fault and can’t be his fault…

second part of the chapter.

jis laughs at cm, says stuff like “can u protect them all,” “is that just a bluff,” “no matter how hard you try, there are just things that in the end u need to let go of.”
(omg gwak hoe mentioned). jis keeps shooting rings, one of them aimed at gwak hoe. cm tries to intercept them, in the end he is shot in his side and is thrown back.
they start to fight again, the narration goes on about how absurd it is for cm to get stronger through the fight, but his sword keeps coming at a greater force.
in the end of the chapter cm pulls off a fluke and gets punched in the face.

BUT THE DARK PLUM SWORD PIERCES JIS’s CHEST, blood dripping from it.

hm. about the background. it is gray bcs it’s the theme of the blog, and i chose this one bcs it’s easier on the eyes than white (less blinding). u can’t change it bcs this is how the website is made.

if your browser has reader mode (i use ios devices hence safari) in the reader mode the background goes black and the words go white.

true. this back and forth is draining and ruins the feeling of suspense.. too many cliffhangers already, there needs to be a conclusion at least in some storylines

Can I ask a favor of someone to, after this whole arc ended, to post in the forum that the suffering is over (at least for now) and also if JI is still alive or not, because that guy literally has the biggest plot armor in the whole series, and I don’t trust Biga-nim to actually kill him with the impending revival of the DC. I don’t have enough patience for the cliffhangers because of the tragedies that is currently happening in the story and I rather to just rip the bandage in one go, fast and clean.

Spoiler: Chapter 1867

jis is indeed pierced by cm’s sword, but the planted his palm onto cm and he was thrown away. cm is in a very bad condition, worse than jis who was stabbed through (narration).
jis thinks he needs to attack immediately while he didn’t lose too much blood, not giving cm a chance to fully regain his senses, but he stumbles. humiliation is gripping jis, bcs he can’t believe he is scared.
they have a similar dialogue which they had at wudang tea-party, about faith, death, achievements etc.
jis seems pretty pissed off now, as he suddenly attacks cm. cm is getting beaten up very badly.
in the end of the chapter cm averts his gaze from jis again.. bcs a red wave is covering the horizon.
red dogs searching for their master.
jis keeps laughing, mocking cm and what he was telling about faith, and what people leave behind

The more updates, the more problems left unsolve… It’s exciting, but tbh I really hope this will all end and give them enough time for a breather. Like when will ogeum finally talk it out with CM? And BC is still- while the circumstances here around jis doesn’t seem much better at all
