So the story starts out we're in the past. The MC is posing as a saintess cause her father forced her to in order to gain political power, so it's been several years since she's married the prince and been faking her role. However the devils have attacked the world and in order to save it they decide the saintess should be sacrificed and since her father and the prince have only ever considered her a tool for power that's what they do. However before they can complete the ritual she drinks poison and kills herself out of spite and as she's dying wishes that she hadn't been so easily manipulated and had refused the path she chose. A voice grants her wish and she finds herself back in time before she's even engaged to the prince. (Hinting she was actually the saintess the whole time) knowing the future she immediately starts to rebel, first by refusing her father's orders, trying to mend relationships with her divorced mother. It turns out the only reason that her mom "abandoned" her after she divorced her dad is that the father was basically threatening her with her daughters wellbeing and she was truly worried about her the whole time (but obviously it's hard to make someone leave an abusive relationship when they're being manipulated into thinking it's not). Also, the mother is a Commoner but basically an ultra billionaire who her dad was also trying to use. She was called "Isadora the thousand gold" or "Isadora the gold" I can't remeber. So some stuff happens as she tries to get away from her dad to love with her mom (at one point she sets fire to her room in rebellion after she's locked up by igniting the God awful saintess clothes she had to wear) and begins living with her mother. In a further act of rebellion she also goes to an arena and buys a gladiator to protect her. Obviously this is the ML and he's an excellent warrior who has been sent to her country in disguise by the neighboring empire's prince because he wants to take over her greedy, power hungry kingdom. Everyone's shocked that she buys him cause she's been miss goody two shoes up until now and the ML is shocked because she only buys him for 1 gold coin (I mean he's purposefully trying to make himself seem scruffy and ugly) but he kind of finds it funny that someone with his prowess is bought for so little which gains his interest in her. She knows his status as a warrior and remembers he had a hard life in her past which she feels bad about so this is kind of her way of redeeming her past self, by giving him a better one now. Later the high society ladies can pit the gladiators they bought in matches against each other and the MC buys the ML high quality armor and swords to fight with and tells him to win no matter what. Of course he comes out looking handsome and powerful and wind the match in seconds and claims his prize from "his lady" for winning by kissing her on the mouth in front of the entire audience. Something the MC likes cause this whole time she's been actively trying to ruin her reputation. (Her mom is also her biggest supporters in all this she's a bad B). She makes two friends who seem bitchy at first but you find out they're actually very sweet and kind and are also trying to ruin their reputations one cause I think her father is abusive, and the other's escaping a marriage from an old man. They even get themselves beaten terribly trying to stop the men her father hired who kidnap the MC to take her back to her dad's mansion, both of them sprinting to go get her mother once they regain consciousness (they're both bleeding and supporting each other it's so bad). The society if it's not apparent is extremely patriarchal but only in her tiny kingdom. Her and the ML eventually work together to bring down the prince and the kingdom and run away to the neighboring empire together (where she's also kind of seen as a villainess except everyone is terrified of her [they also don't know she's the actual saintess and the empire's prince is like her ultimate fan girl much to the annoyance of the ML]) The ML has magic powers as well, I believe he's kind of like a demigod? But doesn't know it. As a child he was taken in by a barbarian tribe and their practice is to take only one mate in their life, even if they don't actually end up together. He chooses the MC of course and it's later revealed he chose her in her first life too, as well as I think another hidden life? He tried to convince her multiple times in her past life as a saintess to leave and come with him but she refused, even though she secretly wanted to. He always asked her why she hated him so much and she never answered him cause she could never say that she actually did. There's one point where he gets angry at her cause he feels when she looks at him she's looking at someone else (his past self) and tells her to forget that person and only think of him as he is now (it hints that he kind of has an idea that she had a past life/knows the future). I can't remeber much else of the story, I know the empire's prince falls in love with one of her friends but she's good with her single pringle life and there's a war between the humans and the demons but I didn't finish it. That's a lot of detail so I hope someone can answer this. This was a Korean Novel.
