Just curious if you all know of any subreddits that were particularly small and that size just surprised you, because you really expected it to be bigger. On my case, https://www.reddit.com/r/SaGa/ really surprised me because it has like... 3700 people. Sure, SaGa is no Final Fantasy, but it's still a Square Enix franchise that has been around for 20+ years and that gets new games from time to time. I was really surprised when seeing how few people browse that subreddit. Do you all know of any others that are like, way smaller than you expected? Do share, I'm curious~
actually saga is much bigger than that subreddit leads you to believe. from what I know it has had several fan made events. to me the other series that has a lot of followers is the front missions game they are remaking them which is great, but I hate that it's only for the switch.
It's probably bigger in Japan. I never heard of much of a bigger western fanbase... Though it doesn't help that a good chunk of SaGa has been locked to Japan-only for a long long time. The whole thing of the original SaGa games being released as "Final Fantasy Legend" in the west also didn't help the franchise get some notoriety back when it was small. Wait, would people care about duck pics that much!? xD ... Well, cat pics are pretty popular, so I guess duck pics could be too~
you haven't reached 200 threads? as for subreddits... r/kalafina is small. r/yukikajiura is far smaller. canta-per-me.net exists though
I was there at the start of the KHML sub. I’m still surprised that it hasn’t picked up many follows yet (80 members), since all the other KH spin off subs get decently big. (KHDR has nearly 3k, KHUX has over 22k.) But maybe it’s because the game isn’t out yet.
*gaaaaasps* That one wouldn't be surprisingly small, just small! XD I was wondering why 250k was "surprisingly small", then I saw the 2M right below, and it now makes sense~ I don't make threads that often! XD I also need to get back to making blogs too~ Oh my, Kingdom Hearts get subreddits for each individual game? I thought it would just be a single main subreddit for Kingdom Hearts and that would be that. ... But yeah, subreddits for unreleased games probably won't grow too much! XD
Not for each individual game, just for each individual mobile game. It makes sense to have separate subs (I guess?) since not everyone who plays the games on console or PC are willing to play a mobile game. I didn’t play the first mobile game for a while, but when I did, I got really into it. I started playing the second as soon as it came out and was a lurker for that sub. Posting on that sub was what caused me to create a Reddit account in the first place. I’m super stoked for the third game and keep hoping I’ll get a chance to join the closed beta.
Ooooooooh~ I guess it kinda makes sense to some extent~ Good luck with the closed beta! I hope you can participate on it! ^^)/
