The reason why it made me drop isn't a big deal. But it didn't feel right with me One of the girls pretends to faint in order for cp(Fls brother) to carry her. So she can marry up, and take advantage of the situation. Fl spills all the beans. She gets severe punishment where she has to parade for immorality. Her mother was FLs mother's good friend. But she was a plastic friendship and was extremely jealous of mom. Fl spills all this as well. So mother decides to punish both. Okay well and good. The girls ending was even worse. She gets kidnapped by third prince and becomes a canary. Her death is faked. Her mother herself is selfish. But her circumstances are extremely bad. Her life is terrible. So she loves her daughter very much. She passes away in sadness thinking that her daughter is dead. The 3rd prince is the worst. He treats everything as a joke and is extremely selfish and manipulative. Later on 3rd prince, gets used by him, to make her(daughter) hate the Fls family. Her end probably will be worst. I don't have a problem with any of this. This isn't anything new in any novels. But next second another female character is introduced. She disguises herself as a eunuch, and is selected as CP's official eunuch. Fl thinks about the previous life where this eunuch was loyal to the crown prince. She says to the prince and others that this eunuch os great. This is such a hypocritical moment that made me feel kinda disgusted with the FL. Everyone who is good to her family, is safe and good. No matter how many crimes they do. And anyone against is pulverized. I am ok with her being selfish. But not okay that they try to stand on moral high ground. It isn't blatantly stated, but shown through actions. A female acting as eunuch is more criminal than a female who pretends to faint to take advantage. And if crown prince wasn't easily manipulated, doesn't he have his own skills to get through that hurdle would it lead to this outcome? What's the garuntee that the eunuch and crown prince won't fall for each other. Won't the eunuch unconsciously seduce the crown prince like all stories. And everything is okay as long as you are in the camp of FL. Winners are kings, losers are cobblers!! Seriously, just because she was loyal to you, her crime to infiltrate the palace as eunuch is actually okay?! There will be BS many reasons for it. But it just came abruptly and previous chapters FL was actually doing okay things. But 10 or so chapters described the misery of that girl who was trying to jeopardise the reputation of crown prince. Then the eunuch who would probably give a bad name to crown prince (The CP fooled by a girl, who acted as eunuch. Did he never notice? What is actually going on between them?) Is okay?! Why?! Cause she was loyal to them previously. Maybe it was way out of context, but I felt an extreme rejection reaction to this. Even the emperor isn't very smart. He is constantly manipulated by FL, his ministers, his Queen. But he thinks he is too smart, testing here, test there!! The cp is hard working. But many instances the FL wipes his butt. Couldn't he call servants loudly and make them carry the girl. But he gets pathetically manipulated by the servant of the girl. And only stops when FLs mind is read. He gets angry later... I have a problem with their righteousness to justify their actions. Anyway the other person did us wrong first, so we'll ruin them completely. Many instances, I noticed FL wasn't always in complete right. But as I said winners are king and FL is a winner. Don't use too much IQ for this novel. But it is indeed better among it's genre of mind reading
