Weird Place Names

I'm curious, what are some weird place names you know of?

There is a church I once saw, it was called "Bola de Neve Church"... So, quick vocabulary:

• Bola de Neve = Snowball
• Igreja = Church

So... This church is called "Bola de Neve Church". Not "Igreja Bola de Neve" nor "Snowball Church", but "Bola de Neve Church."

I looked at that and just thought... "Why?"

Never mind the fact that I have no idea what is the correlation between a church and a snowball. The name seems absolutely random.

Anyways, that's it from me. What weird place names you know of?

you could google Big Bottom, Washington to find that town. Or Beer Bottle Crossing, Idaho. Bald Head, Maine. Scratch Ankle, Alabama... and so on.

There's a city in Turkey called Batman, a place in Oregon called Boring along with its twin Bland from Scotland, but my favourite has to be Hell for Certain from Kentucky — I can't even image how people living there feel like lmao, another place name somewhat similar to it is Hell's Valley which in located in Black Forest, Germany, but I find this name more cool than funny tbh.

Actually Brazil also has some pretty funny names for cities:
Português = English
Pau Grande = Big Wood/stick
Curralinho = Small Corral(foneticaly sounds like the Portuguese words for shallow ass)
Pinga = a very alcoholic Brazilian beverage
Entrepelado = enter naked
Passa e fica = pass and stay
Pintópolis = (aglutination of dick and metropolis)
Carrasco Bonito = beautiful executioner
Ressaquinha = small hangover
Não me toque = don't touch me
Virginopolis = (aglutination of virgin and metropolis)
Corta mão = cut hand
Mata pais = kill parents
Jardim das piranhas = piranha's garden (piranha is a fish but most often the word is used as a slang which means slut)

Talking about weird names!
It's not a place but I remembered the name of a judge i got to know years ago~
His family's surname was Torres de Carvalho (oak towers)
But due to a typing error at his birth register his surname was registered as "Torres de Caralho" (fuck/cock towers)

Prduša vela – Translation: Basically means ‘big fart’ – It is one of the islands near the Kornati National park.
