I understand today, this truth loud and clear.
It was my co-worker's birthday and every single kid either made cards, brought flowers, or gave her red pens.
They were crowding around her and even made a make-shift cake with choco buns.
You have no idea, the enthusiasm these kids showed today. If I were to combine the amount of times they have hugged or cheered for me from the start of my tutoring, it would not come even a little close to what they showed today.
I had not known it was her birthday, so I just gave her a drink. But these kids told me I was stingy and uncaring....
I told them, laughing, that I am poor and have no money and they should show me love also.
I never expected them to be so ruthless.
They replied to me, without hesitation, That I was already an adult capable of earning and I shouldn't be begging little children for money.

My dears, who begged money from you paupers?

If only they showed half the excitement they did, no, quarter-half of the excitement they showed today was shared during the times I treated them or taught them.
So surprising, kids are really dogs.

This made me think of the time my second brother was younger. When going outside during my early teens, I would travel with him in public transport. There were times when the bus didn't have enough seats and he would have to sit on my lap.
Once, when this happened, my foot was swollen. So he could only sit in mom's or some other aunt's lap. There was a sister right besides us and mother was already carrying bags.
But he refused to sit no matter what. He would rather sit on my leg and step on my injured foot than sit on an elder sister's lap or with his own mother. I remember being super embarrassed and in pain, but I still had to tolerate his bs.

Looking back, he was really cute. Wouldn't leave my side despite anything and was super clingy. In the end, your own blood is more precious than not. Unfortunately, those times are already gone:blobpain:

I think it's how she treats the kids that's why they like her.

If her personality is rude/mean/strict no kid would be drawn to her even if she is a girl.
