how to torture people.... on cute way you know like bombardment of cat video so they die from diabetes....

an author that write well enough, and have stories that ends somewhere between good and just ok endings.
Or
Authors that tend to write spectacularly, but have no idea how to end story arcs and all they can do is keep introducing, more mystery, while quietly resolve plot points in mundane way, but no one notices because readers are distracted by the new characters new plot twists and new questions. And the writee tries to indefinitely prolong a series with no interest in writing the final book.
